It's those hybrid airline liveries and/or temporary leases that are often the most interesting and historically significant aircraft subjects. Here's a selection of such .... in the form of some great looking new Boeing subjects by Ben HARTMANN .... B707-321 G-AYBJ .... as she appeared during 1972 when operated by BRITISH MIDLAND AIRLINES .... .... and here's the same aircraft again too .... as she appeared during a short-term lease to EL AL ISRAEL AIRLINES also during 1972 and supporting a hybrid EL AL/BMA livery .... And whilst we're in the Middle East, and still on the subject of rare hybrids and leases too, here's a B727-100 which ARKIA ISRAEL AIRLINES leased from AVIANCA COLOMBIA during 1984 and operated in basic AVIANCA livery with ARKIA titles in both English and Hebrew .... It wasn't that bad, they flew back in a JT3D-engined 707 Intercontinental (even though the -320B didn't fly until 1962, and the -320C until 1964). In real life, Eichmann was taken to Israel in a Bristol Britannia, but presumably no such aircraft was still flying in the 1980s when the film was made, as they were phased out very quickly due to the passenger popularity of jets...

That's like what was represented within that movie entitlesd "THE LAST FLIGHT OUT" .... about the US evacuation of Saigon, and in particular, PAN AM's involvement in that evacuation just prior to the fall of Saigon. In the move a PAN AM L1011 is featured operating this last flight out .... BUT .... so far as I'm aware (at least accoprding to a historic PA photo I saw) .... it was apparently a PA DC7 which operated the airlines "last civil service" out of Saigon. HOLLYWOOD's full of that sort of crap .... of course ! ;D Mark C AKL/NZ

I checked the IMDB site again (where my submission regarding the error seems to have been accepted now) and I'd got the date of the film wrong - it was actually 1996 so there were definitely no Britannias available...
