I enjoy flying the 8s and have no problem using the autopilot. However I cannot say the same for the 707-128 autopilot. It seems to be a pitch problem. I cannot work the pitch with the mouse and when I use the keyboard (7-1) the pitch works but seems to roll back on its own. I am also having a problem with the altitude hold. Any advise?

Again .... as I've already replied to another possibly similar query. I tested these panels extensively on 2 different computers and have suffered no such difficulties at all according to my technique. In fact with the AP active and "ALT HLD" off I confirm it trims perfectly fine by mouse .... both up and down. Make sure the "ALT HLD" switch is in the fully "OFF" position. I've noted it to sometimes default to "ON" which would cause difficulty if you avtivated the "AP" without realising the "ALT HLD" switch was already "ON". Of course in this case you wouldn't then be able to trim up or down for love nor money I confirm the aircraft also trims fine too using "HOME" & "END" keys too .... whenever "ALT HLD" is set to "OFF". When using keyboard trim I always prefer these keys in preference to anything else. Mark C AKL/NZ
