Jay,
Great pic. Makes me want Gary's RC's even more. Hopefully he'll do the re-engined ones. Does anyone know if the Air Force reconsidered about the thrust reversers on the RC's. I had read that they wouldn't do them on the KC-135Rs due to the fact they are always light when landing and didn't need them (also they cost more). I know that the RC's are a lot heavier when landing and often that landing is on shorter runways.

I can't tell that it's a black wing... oh well....
RC's are not getting reverse thrusters on the F-108's and will not get them.... as of now, right now the shortest runway an rc will land on is more or less around 8,000 feet. I dont think the KC-135 is much shorter than that.

'Balls only had the wing painted black on top to stop the glare when they were taking photographs the same way they use flat black paint underneath the a/c windows so you don't get a glare off of the nose. There is no point in painting the underside of the wing. If you look carefully you will see that there is a black outline that is present on the leading edge of starboard wing that isn't present on the port wing on 133. Then look at the pic of 128 that I posted. You'll see that the top of the wing is black up to the leading and trailing edges. The underside remains blue/grey. Oh and this pic of 128 clearly shows the teardrop fairings right behind the national insignia. Jay
