For what it's worth, I very seldom do payware anymore. I have quite a bit of it sitting on the shelf, useless, because the sim has advanced beyond it.
Some of it looks very good, but freeware has caught up with it in that department. I bought Aerosims liners for the L-1011's. It came with some DC-8's and DC-10's. The DC-8's don't look as good as yours, and the DC-10's are really no better than POSky's. I had a hard time getting the L-1011's to work visually in FS2002, but I finally did get there. I know they said it was for FS2004 only, but the right tweaks can do wonders.
I have FS2002 and FS2004. I use 2002. Why? Because it doesn't spazz my computer out to run it. Most of the stuff I like works fine in FS2002, and it runs smooth as silk.
I've been simming since FS98 and it's been a great ride, but it doesn't hold quite the excitement that it used to, so, if Microsoft wants to maintain my simming interest, the next sim better be a smooth running masterpiece. Same thing with any payware, don't sell me something that hasn't been thoroughly tested. It should work, period. And software KEYS, I should not have to get a new KEY if I change computers. We go through computers faster than we do cars. For all the frustration I went through with Captain Sim, they have seen the last buck from my pocket.
Payware is o.k. if you have the interest and the money, but by all means, sell us a good working product then provide good support if we need it.
Guess that's my two cents, Cheers, Bob

Same here, Bob. I have very little "disposable" income, and I have to be very careful about what I spend it on. To be quite honest, I can fill my add-on aircraft desires with a few minutes spent on AVSIM.com or FlightSim.com without paying one red cent. Oh, I will admit that some of the eye candy on certain payware models is nice, and the more complex the cockpit the more I like it. Yet even those aren't worth the monetary investment when freeware downloads can be just as good.
Still, I may pop for a payware some day. BUT - it will have to be a darned good package that I can't get remotely close to with a free download.

I use as payware only a couple of products of Flight 1, the DC-9-30 Professional and the Cessna 172: the DC-9-30 is great, specially his cockpit,panel and sound.Also to recomended the DC-9s series of Erik Cantu(freeware) utilising the panel and sounds of the Flight 1 DC-9.

Hello Tony;
I was just wondering if it was permissable to mention on this site something about a different type of payware? One speciffically dealing with a retailer in Canada who has produced several DVD's about DC-8's and 707's featuring films produced by Boeing and the airlines. Please let me know.
Regards; Herman

I support Tony's view on this .... "ABSOLUTELY".
Anything about B707/720, CV880, CV990, & DC8 I'd most certainly like to know about at least .... since that's the very heart of what we represent here.
Thanks for asking beforehand too Herman .... "MUCH APPRECIATED".

OH BEN ! .... go and wash you mouth out with soap this instant ! ;D Mark C AKL/NZ In one thing Ben has right. Exterior model and panel is really good, but it is just eyecandy - nothing else, manual is so poor and support... NO COMMENT. Anyway, 707 by CS has a lot of bugs. And you Tony do not have to worry, Me and many people are not going spend money for this crap. HJG rules!

My own 707 panels are freeware, but there's no 3D virtual cockpit.
