My VL assumption was way wrong but I must say, this is an excellent DC9. Just about to fly as I speak. Is the rest of the DC9 family joing too?? Oh, PS: The files on the download page are listed as DC 8-51, should be DC 9-51. /thanks corrected....

I notice the current panel is an alias to the B737 panel
How about checking with Stellan Hilmerby to see if you can use his great DC-9 panel. Its the best DC-9 panel out there bar none!

Just noticed the new addition within the past hour or so, haven't had a chance to look her over in any detail. Checked the Panel file and saw the alias to the B737, that along with no DC-9 panel on the download page.........

Have a look at the engine exaust tail pipes on both aircraft models supplied.
Compare these details between both MODEL.02 and MODEL.06 .... and you should observe the latter has a differently shaped aft tail pipe engine sleeve.
MODEL.02 represents the original non-hushkitted P&W JT8D aircraft model version .... completely unmodified.
MODEL.06 represents the hush-kitted P&W JT8D aircraft model version .... modified by the late 1990's to meet noise regulations.

Thanks Mark, I will take a look at the 2 different models. Great to see the DC-9 family join HJG. Would I assume the MD family will join down the road too? Bill

All of the C-9s are are derivatives of the Series 30, but not quite identical to the civil models. The closest thing to an off the shelf military DC-9 were the two DC-9-32s ordered by the Italian Air Force.

Would I assume the MD family will join down the road too? No plans for MD-80 or MD-90 aircraft, although the B717-200 might make an appearance at some point. Can someone explain the difference with the non hushkit and the hushkit version on the 9s? About a foot and a half of engine nacelle. There is a small plug inserted at the front of the thrust reversers where the hust kit modifications were incorporated into the nacelles.

Anyone figure out how to use the jetways with them? I am guessing you are refering to the jetways in FSX? As far as I know, that requires a data set in the aircraft.cfg. I can provide the door co-ordinates (in reference to the model and air file center points), but as I don't use FSX I have no way to test/validate the necessary aircraft.cfg entires. Nick

If you do have them, that would be really great.

Considering I still have the JCA models in FS2004 (and use them quite frequently), this is a welcome addition to hangar.
Well done.
