YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEP .... Here I am ! Thanks for getting all of that uploaded for us Dan Thanks to all our team members whom have contributed to this "2ND PART" of our "4TH ANNIVERSARY" website update. And thanks once again also to all our FS community supporters whom have generously encouraged us/HJG throughut our past 4 years of service. Not much to explain about this website update .... other than the following which is really just for the benefit of those new to our website and possibly not yet familiar with how we present everything that we offer here .... 1. All B720-B aircraft textures are located in the "B720-B" section of our Downloads page. 2. All B727-100 aircraft textures are located in the "B727-100" section of our Downloads page .... which also supports "B727-100C/F CONVERTIBLE/FREIGHTER" aircraft subjects in a separate section on this same page. 3. Only the FDE (both AIRCRAFT.CFG and AIR data) has been updated .... for compatibility with the new DC9 panels. There have been no changes to any of the original 3D DC9 models or textures. 11. The DC9 panels are now available and are located on the "DOUGLAS PANELS" downloads page. pack version. Folks .... the following notes are quick reference/shortened "basic essentials" of my more in-depth/thourogh DC9 notes/information now posted on the "DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT SUPPORT" forum page.
THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST KNOW AND DO .... AT THE VERY LEAST .... IF YOU ARE GOING TO FLY THESE NEW DC9 PANELS !
Again .... I urge "EVERYONE" to take the time necessary to read and become familiar with the "HJG DC9 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" posting which appears on the "DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT SUPPORT" forum page. This is essential to being able tio use/run these new panels properly. Almost everything that must be understood regarding the operation of these panels is presented there.

Further the regarding our DC9 panels ....
Certain procedures must be accomplished before any of these panels can be run. These procedures are obligatory and if not performed will result in either .... (1) not being able to extend/retract the landing gear and flaps .... or (2) a complete electrical failure and a loss most panel instrumentation .... or (3) a pressurization failure .... OR .... all 3 of these scenarios.
These DC9 panels are "a little more complex" than most other HJG aircraft panels .... only to the extent of there being a few more essential switches and systems which must first be activated before these panels will operate properly.
DO NOT BE PUT OFF USING THESE PANELS SIMPLY FOR THE SAKE OF A FEW EXTRA PROCEDURES. TO DO SO IS TO BE DENIED THE PRIVILEGE OF ENJOYING THE MAGNIFICENCE OF THESE PANELS .... AS WELL AS APPRECIATING, TO SOME EXTENT, WHAT THE DC9 WAS LIKE TO OPERATE. IT MUST ALSO BE UNDERSTOOD THAT HJG, WHERE POSSIBLE, FOCUSES ITS ATTENTION ON TECHNICAL AUTHENTICITY AND QUALITY FIRST .... EVEN IF THIS ULTIMATELY RESULTS IN A "SLIGHTLY MORE COMPLEX PRODUCT".
The following notes are intended to assist folk understand and enjoy these HJG DC9 panels. These notes indicate precisely what panel items must be activated. If time is taken to study the following step-by-step procedures then no difficulties will result. Operating these panels will quickly become intuitive with experience.
It takes no more than 2 minutes to correctly configure any of these panels for flight .... a little longer if performing a cold and dark engine startup procedure. Correctly configuring any realworld aircraft panel takes a lot longer. Therefore .... aided by the following notes .... please enjoy the level of fidelity built-into these DC9 panels. These panels may be "a little more complex" .... BUT .... they are certainly not difficult !
1.0: HOW TO USE THESE DC9 PANELS .... PANEL/SYSTEMS CONFIGURATION .... DEFAULT ENGINES RUNNING SCENARIO
2.0: HOW TO USE THESE DC9 PANELS .... ENGINE STARTUP SCENARIO .... PROCEDURES AND PANEL/SYSTEMS CONFIGURATION
These same procedures are also posted within "SECTION 2" of my "DC9 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" posting which appears in the "DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT SUPPORT" forum page.
"SECTION 3" of this same posting explains many features of these panels, and their sub panels and respective gauges.
"SECTION 4" of this same posting features basic flying guides for all of our DC9 family using these panels.

Wouldn't the "WHAT SOUND WHICH PLANE" and "WHAT PANEL WHICH PLANE" be better posted within the "About HJG Aircraft" forum, as with the other aircraft types?

I've done this purposely George .... because I need to make folk aware of certain details given that these panels are "a little more complex" than most other HJG offerings .... and even if that means repetative postings.
So long as folk "read" the website announcement notice .... then at least they, presumably, see these details and become aware of and impliment them .... and which then saves me time. It seems that some folk aren't even aware that such service notes exist on the ABOUT ABOUT HJG AICRAFT forum page.
Additionally .... the "locked" service notes currently posted on the ABOUT HJG AIRCRAFT forum page will all eventually be transferred across to their respective AIRCRAFT SUPPORT forum pages in due course .... as has already been done in the case pf the CARAVELLE .... and ..... has just been done also in regard to the DC9.
A bit of renevation work going on here !
