I was reading the other day in a Convair 580 panel install notes that credited HJG for the panel. Since this particular panel I was in is not complete, I was wondering if you still have that panel somewhere? Falcon

I've never heard of a HJG Convair 580? We represent "Jetliners" not Propliners ..... hm...

Actually .... he's quite right Dan !
The original HJG (prior to April 2006) did host/offer the CV580 .... along with a couple of panel options, a soundpack, and soke effects too.
Only long service HJG crew would remember this.
When Tony, Nick, and myself rescued HJG during early 2006 we deciced to focuss on just the jets .... at that time .... and despite the fact the the CV580 is effectively a jet-prop.
Consequently we never carried the CV580 forward with us into this new HJG regime.
I suspect the models/base packs/FDE .... as well as the panels too .... might be availale at FS.COM.
Try searching for an ASPEN CV580 package. That should get you the models and FDE .... at least.
As I recall however .... this CV580 package was for FS2002 use only. I don't recall it ever being upgraded for FS2004 .... and it's never been modded by anyone, for FSX use .... so far as I'm aware.
"IF" Dee WALDRON pops by later on then he may be able to throw more light on all this .... because I think it was his own project .... if I'm not mistaken in just this detail alone.

I would suggest that instead of going back to that panel, you head over to CalClassic - www.calclassic.com and download their CV-580 which is much newer and has a very nice panel.

Uh.....last time I checked, the 580, along with the Electra, had JET enignes, albeit they drove propellers !!

Chris is quite right. Go over to Cal Classics and get their (Greg Pepper/Tom Gibson) CV580 model/panel/sounds. The old HJG CV580 is a dinosaur left over from FS2000 and FS2002. ;D

I dunno about that ! The other day I downloaded and installed the FOKKER FVII-A package by Jens B KRISTENSEN .... along with a SCADTA (the foreruner of what´s now AVIANCA COLOMBIA .... the worlds 2ns oldest airline) texture for it too .... just for something different to play around with using the 76 meter mesh terrain for the entire Republica De Colombia .... which is right where I am at the moment One doesn´t have to be old to appreciate old aircraft .... or the just challenge of something completely different either ! Thanks Mark C. So where does one find the Fokker FVII-A package?

I found it at FLIGHTSIM.COM
FILE NAME = fviia_v2
OR ... just type "FOKKER JENS B KRISTENSEN" .... an then hit SEARCH.
There´s also a more upmarket panel for this package there too .... which has been released with Jens authorization and I think its file name is as follows ....
ff7aimpr
I´m having a herll of a time trying to fly it from one side of Colombia to the other (using the 76 meter mesh terain for the entire Republica De Colombia) .... through the 2 major branches of the Cordillera De Los Andes (el Cordillera Oriente and el Cordillera Occidente) which run througy the country from Northy to South. Trying to find a way through these mountains is my particular challenge .... because "this little FOKKER" won't climb high, so, one has to navigate between all the valleys in order to try´n get through.
It´s quite interesting flying and a lot of fun though !
