Could HJG's collection be expanded to include Soviet-built airliners of the same era, such as the Tupolev Tu-104 and -124, or the Ilyushin Il-62?

Funny you should raise this one George .... because it's actually something I've been thinking about and would genuinely like to see here too.
We wouldn't contemplate building new models of these, but, at the very least it's something I personally would like to like to try negotiating for authorisation to host here .... after all we are "HISTORIC JETLINERS .... and thse are indeed "historic jetliners" and should be considered.
Indeed they are "complex" panels and mostly in Russian/Cyrillac too .... but .... I think flying is a relatively sophisticated task and I personally like a panel which reflects a good degree of complexity. With that Russian stuff .... to my knowledge most are accompanied with English manuals/documentation. So far as I'm aware also, hovering you mouse cursor over the instruments/gauges in question still provides tooltip descriptions of each instrument/gauge "IN ENGLISHSKI"
There's certainly is some nice Russian stuff comming available out there now.

It would be nice if there was at least a link from here over to that "project Tupolev" soviet airliner site, as they really are worthy of being called "historic jetliners". They look to be nicely done as well! While you're at it, a link to David Maltby's site wouldn't hurt either!

Well, what about a link section on the site, with stuff related to early generation historic jetliners?

These are all "VERY GOOD IDEAS" guys though please bear in mind this website .... what you currently see here as such .... is only temporary until we open our "NEW LOOK" website here very soon.
I'm sure the likes of "LINKS TO OTHER SITES" are all being considered.

I agree witha lot of what is said here, the Classic phrase is universal so the old British jets and Soviet jets not forgetting the French ones, all have a place in FS, I doubt we will get model makers for these and the quality of David Malby's British Iron is outstanding and in mu opinion unbeatable, the Project Tupelov aircraft are of a similar standard so instead of competing the links idea is a good one. Certainly worth considering once we are up and running with the new look website. I must admit to being frightened off with Russian panels as well, I am a MPH man and find the 707. 1-11 panels enough for my brain to get the hang of ;D
