Hi friends:
One thing one has also to consider: Xenon lights on a jet out of the 60s dont look very realistic. So the option of classic, halogen or xenon should be considered before installing the new lights. I have tried xenon lights on a Tu-124 and got back the the original ones as xenon looked out of tune with the airplanes service time.
Kind regards
Walter

I agree Walter,
In the end, I decided to go with just replacing the beacons with the Shockwave rotating ones as I think the designer did a very good job anyway...
[LIGHTS] //Types: 1– Beacon,2– Strobe,3– Navigation,4– cockpit,5– Landing,6– Taxi,7– Recognition,8– Wing,9– Logo,10– Cabin (7-10 REQUIRE GAUGE) light.0=1, -0.90, 0.00, 18.70, Fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red , //light.0=1, -0.90, 0.00, 18.70, fx_beaconh , light.1=1, -30.90, 0.00, -3.00, Fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red , //light.1=1, -30.90, 0.00, -3.00, fx_beaconb , light.2=3, -74.00, -12.00, 34.50, DC10.4logo , light.3=3, -74.00, 12.00, 34.50, DC10.4logo , light.4=5, 80.50, -10.50, 1.10, DC10.4landing , light.5=5, 80.50, 10.50, 1.10, DC10.4landing ,
