Guys
Been working up some more profiles for the 707-120A/120B, 138A/138B, 707-220, 707-300/400, 707-320B/C and the 720A/B.
Tearing into all my books here..I cant find the optimum economical and long range cruise altitudes, nor the cruise speeds in KIAS! Only KTAS, KmH and MpH it seems.
I'm a bit rusty converting KTAS into KIAS..the speeds I've calculated are way too high for KIAS at high altitude.
Does anyone have these numbers? Been flying the hell out of the 720A/B's the past day or two trying to narrow it down. I have the beautiful book on the 720 by World Transport Press..no data at all for the "Thunderbird". Sigh.
If someone could post that here it would really be appreciated.
Many Thanks! Regards John

Ok email received. It was just to remember me.
I'll take some pictures of my manual and I'll send it to you - it's easier than scan each page... :-)
I have numbers for the -100B (JT3D-1), -720B (JT3D-3) and 300 with JT-4A -9/-10/-11/-12 engines.
And I have good news: I just bought a complete 707-300C manual that I hope will arrive later this week, so I'll be able to provide more info. I suppose -300B and -300C figures are pretty close. As for the -138B, I suppose its nubers are somewhat between the -100B and -720B.
And possibly the hardest info to find is on the -100, -720 and -400 series. If anyone have contact with an airline which operated these birds try to check with them as they probably have the manuals in their library.

I'm a bit worried there could be multiple people here working on 707 flight dynamics.
I've finished the basic -120B panel, but I am now aware that the different engine types (JT3D, JT3C, JT4A and Conway) give different EPR readings. I think I've now got a highly accurate JT3D, but now I have to do the other types (and also alter the engine gauges on my panels accordingly). After that, I'll be setting the stall speeds (using Table 404 for the clean stall speed, then the flaps settings to set the other stall speeds), before I consider the FDEs ready.
By the way I see in the tables separate mention of -320B and -320B-ADV. I see no -320Bs for download on this site which include a ventral fin. Does this mean that all the -320Bs on this site are in fact -320B-ADV? (The -320B-ADV dispensed with the ventral fin, as improved leading-edge flaps rendered it unnecessary.)

No worries George, I'm not working on any flight models here. This is just some FYI I use personally for my flightplanner, FSNav. I'm just using these numbers to compile something I use myself with that program, it allows you to create small aircraft profile entries so the autoflight FMS that FSNav uses can make a reasonable try to get the plane to fly by the numbers. {I used to have a HUGE printout collection I made of Janes Aircraft data from the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80s..all of that's gone after several moves around the world in the past decade. Now I have to find this info again..I had some really good data on Convair 880/990s I had from the early 60's era Janes..those are gone too..stuff that was really hard to find. Also had a big copybook of printouts of Engine data too..again..that's gone too..these were my main sources of data used back in the ole PF days..}
It's something out of habit I started doing back in the Project Freeware days when we were building FDE's for those FS98 era planes. Saw how running it through FSNav seemed a neat shakedown of an flight model, I've continued doing this ever since. I've been used to something that seems to work okay, although it's by far a basic and simple tool it's one that I prefer personally.
