Putting the finishing touches on these...after that Im going to take a break. I dont crank these out like the other masters here do Ive improved several other textures and will preview them shortly also. Added an Air Canada livery to the list! The Air Canada tweak will go on the -40 aircraft too. I redid the fonts and tweaked the colors very slightly. Also cleaned up the black nose area quite a bit. Added some nice alpha and changed the belly textures to reflect that Air Canada seems to have painted MOST of their birds from this era all grey on the belly aft of the forward wing area, with natural metal up forward. The Delta -10 original livery required quite a bit of work. Here is a comparison to what we had and my "tweaks". Mostly just enhancing colors and alpha along with some of my signature minor upgrades to wings/wheels/etc. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Wow, amazing work hornit! And that comparison is crazy, like two different aircraft. Amazing what textures can do!

Nice edits Jim .... which make for just no comparison between these upgrades and their original counterparts. The originals are "PRETTY OLD" .... most having first been done around 2002 (and aided by scale model decals which did occasionally feature incorrect colours/shades and/or minor flaws in respect of some of their period fonts too .... as is often the case with such decals) .... and except for some texture format changes which occurred between then and 2003/4 these textures haven't been touched ever since. Most of what we have from this era represents the best that could be achieved .... back then .... some 10, or more, years ago ..... only FS graphics (etc) have changed a lot since way back then . Again .... "NICE" improvements .... which will, I'm sure, be great aprreciated by many Mark C AKL/NZ

These textures .... presented by Jim within this thread .... are already "CURRENTLY AVAILABLE on the HJG "DC8-10, DC8-20, DC8-30, DC8-40, and DC8-50"{ downloads pages. Wing views are not included .... and will not be included in any of the HJG DC8 simulation .... by virtue of the fact that the wings and pylons/engines simply cannot be seen from the flightdeck of any DC8 version .... unless one were to wind back/open the crew emergency escape hatch/windo and stick ones head "right out there" Mark C AKL/NZ

I like wing views whether they are realistic or not from the cockpit. I am sure there are 3rd party wing views that can be installed.

Wing Views .... "from a PAX/cabin view perspective" .... are available from either AVSIM or FS.COM (I think .... but .... no file names/references I'm sorry) .... AND .... I think other views, of choice, can also be set up/configured using Active Camera too .... I think it is .... but .... HJG doesn't provide nor assist with any of these these other options.
