Hello again!
I've downloaded and installed the 707-320B a/c with the Olympic Airways 1985 paint scheme, and although everything works great, I'm getting black engine textures. Trying to rectify the problem, I downloaded some other newer (2013) repaints and copied the engine bmp files, but in all my attempts, there was no change.
Even though this isn't a serious problem, I'd appreciate any help since I would like to post a few screenshots here in the forum.

"IF" .... one ever sees black, or otherwise untextrured, details with any of the HJG B8707/B720/C135 TYPE aircraft models, then, that's usually an indication that a particular texture is being used with the wrong aircraft base pack model/s.
"IF" .... one is using the OLYMPIC AIRWAYS B707-320B ADV texture, then, this should only be used with the HJG B707-320B ADV Aircraft Pack Pack only .... and "not" that for either the B707-320, -320B EARLY, or -320C.
PLEASE NOTE .... it's essential to ensure that textures are applied to the "correct" aircraft base pack 3D models, or, display issues (blank textures and the like) "WILL" become evident.
I'm not presently aware of any particular problem/shortcomming of this actual OLYMPIC AIRWAYS B707-320B ADV texture, or its supporting ADD TO AIRCRAFT data, but, I "WILL" check .... just to be sure (someimes lttle errors are made by us) then and report back later .... only if necessary.

I found the problem The HJG artist responsible for this particular OLYMPIC AIRWAYS B707-320B ADV texture set was "new" to the B707 at the time (he's no longer with the group) and likely didn't appreciate the implication of his applied texture BMP/model assignments. The engine textures BMPs suppliedc with this particular aircraft texture subject "ARE" incorerectly named .... in order for these to be able to display correctly with the assigned s2HK (Stage 2 Hush Kit) model. There are 2 very easy ways to resolv this minor issue .... as follows .... 1. Your first option is to open the Texture folder for this aircraft subject. Identify the 8 engine individual texture BMP files contained within this folder .... and then rename/change the suffix of each of these 8 texture BMP files to read _(underscore) "S2" .... so that each of these individual texture BMP files reads precisely as follows .... #1_engine_S2 #1_engine_S2_L #2_engine_S2 #2_engine_S2_L #3_engine_S2 #3_engine_S2_L #4_engine_S2 #4_engine_S2_LThis action will result in the egine textures displaying with the aircraft model currently assigned within the supporting ADD TO AIRCRAFT datas .... and which reads "MODEL=S2HK" 1. your second option is to open your AIRCRAFT.CFG file for the B707-320B ADV. Identify the FLIGHTYSIM.XX data line which reads "MODEL=" .... within the ADD TO AIRCRAFT data supporting this texture this particular line will appear as follows .... model=s2hk .... and then .... delete/eemove the titles "S2HK" (only .... since these currently force this particular texture to use the S2HK model rather than the standard P&W JT3D model version) so that the this particular data line then reads as follows .... model=This action will result in a pre-1985 unmodified/non S2HK engine configuratio for this aircraft textutre .... BUT .... it will still be "CORRECT" for the aircraft subject represented. 2 options (above) for you to consider applying. Both will work .... if applied correctly. PLEASE NOTE .... I note, in your original posting on this thread, that you've, appasrently, been trying to resolve this problem by adding/overwriting the engine textures within this particular texture folder using those from other aircraft. For this reason .... I "strongly recommend" you delete the OLYMPIC AIRWAYS texture you've been playing with. Redownload .... as=nd unzip .... and then reinstall thais same texture again .... and then apply either of my above 2 recommendations in order for the correct/intended aircraft texture details (colours) to be displayed. Hello Mark and thank you for your swift reply (and fix!)
I went ahead and renamed (the correct) engine texture files and everything looks perfect!
Now that I have the 707 up and running smoothly, I'll backup my FSX installation by cloning the directory onto another drive.
Thanks again for your help and patients with a newbie! Telly
BTW, out of curiosity, why do you have a picture of Johann Günther Lütjens as your avatar?

No problem "TELLY" .... get back to us if ever you need additional help .... that's what we're here for Admiral Gunther LUTJENS actually It's "idiot repellant" .... I use it to keep the "idiots" away I do tend to be a hard bastard (comming from a Navy family of generations past) .... BUT .... I'm also a very fair bastard too .... and not just a complete bastard Mark C AKL/NZ
