Presenting DC-8-62H/F, N61CX, in a non-standard variation of AIR TRANSPORT INTERNATIONAL livery .... as she appeared during 2000 and for a period after returning to ATI from her KUWAIT AIRWAYS lease .... this new texture has been painted by Tony MADGE .... And .... here's a bit about her background/geneology .... DC-8-62H C/BN # 46142 L/N # 546 F/F February 15th 1971First delivered to ALITALIA (I-DIWX "Luigi Chrubini") - March 12th 1971. Sold to AEROPERU (OB-R-1210 "Armando Revoredo") - February 19th 1981 .... reregistered "OB-1210" - November 11th 1989 .... withdrawn from service during August 1993 and sored at Lima, Peru. Sold to GMD INC (N61CX) - January 28th 1994 .... and converted to "DC-8-62H/F" (PAX/FREIGHTER combi configuration). Leased to AIR TRANSPORT INTERNATIONAL (N61CX) - November 21st 1994. Sub leased to KUWAIT AIRWAYS (N61CX) - October 20th 1997. Returned to AIR TRANSPORT INTERNATIONAL (N61CX) - July 1998. Sold to AEROFREIGHTER LLC (n61CX) - December 21st 1999 .... and leased back to AIR TRANSPORT INTERNATIONAL (N61CX). Withdrawn from service November 18th 2012.
