"SPOT-ON" Eduardo .... and perfect timing too AEROPERU is one of the later/rarer operators of the even more rare DC10-15 .... a "hot & high" type version of the DC10-10, powered by derated GE CF6-50 turbofan engines (simimilar to those which powered the DC10-30), and of which only 7 airframes were ever produced by McDONNELL-DOUGLAS .... each of which were delivered to MEXICANA DE AVIACION and AEROMEXICO during the early 1980's. AEROPERU leased 2 DC10's .... each of which operated in basic/early 1990's AEROMEXICO livery with "AEROPERU" titles and logos .... N1003L, named "Apu Kon Tiki Wiracocha", which served the airline from July 21st 1993 until November 15th 1994 when it was sold to GREYHOUND LEASING and stored at Mirana, Arizona, USA .... and N10045, named "senor De Spain", which served AEROPERU from June 15th 1993 until September 20th 1994 (with a sale to McDONNEL-DOUGLAS and lease-back and sub-lease to MEXICANA DE AVIACION in-between) prior to its storage at Mexico City, Mexico from 1994.
