I just wanted to know what the difference is between the jt8d engines.
I noticed that the hjg (jca) md-8x engines are modeled with a pointy engine cone opposed to the more 'rounder' cone on the SGA md-8x series.

The SGA models are "completely unrelated" to the JCA, HJG, and NBFS versions .... so there's really no point in comparing them since they represent 2 (or more) different designs by 2 entirely different designers. I'm not personally familiar with the JCA models (meaning I've never had it), but, the HJG and NBFS MD80/90 models "ARE EACH RELATED TO/DESCENDED FROM IT" .... as each are the fruits of Nick BOTAMER's labours to please folk .... the latter 2 being far more recent releases are probably further refined/more accurate than the former/original option. The P&W JT8D engine shape on each of the HJG models is .... so far as I'm aware .... "fairly accurate" and about as good as one can currently expect to find in FS freeware .... as follows .... MD81/82/83/88MD87The exception to the above being the following IAE powered aircraft .... MD90-30And that's just the way it all "IS". Mark C AKL/NZ
