I hadn't seen that one before (and I see there are other similar BRITISH PATHE related videos also) .... and bugger me running almost precisely the route I re-enacted down the African continent too.

Looks very nice. The textures are great too!
I wish on the jbk model the engines were a bit more detailed than they are. But at least we have a decent comet 1 & 2 model

My thoughts on that are like this ....
1. They could be.
2. They probaly don't really need to be.
3. I think it's a bit much to expect/hope they might be.
I admit I'm a person inclined towards "rivet counting" .... but .... I'm also "more than content" with these as they are too.
JBK produced quite a number of very rare aircraft subjects for FS .... so consider each a "one off" by virtue of the fact most of what he produced has never been previously offered for FS .... and likely won't ever be produced again either.
Suppliers model .... and paint .... and otherwise produce in accordance with there own standards and preferences .... and as such JBK's preferences tended toward a more simplistic design methodology .... and which IMHO is just as acceptable as something more detailed because of the rarety and uniqueness of what he produced for the FS community.
I think there comes a time where it pays to just "appreciate what we have .... and the effort that's gone into producing it" .... rather than wanting/wishing this, that, or another detail was better replicated.
