First of all, thank you for this beautiful aircraft. I discovered her few weeks ago, and I am enjoying her a lot I was wondering if it is possible to assign a joystick key to "extend" /"retract" spoiler lever ? I red (several times) the detailed documentation and I understand that FS does not support Speed-Breaks distinct from ground Spoilers. So I am prepared to a "No" answer, but I still though that I should ask Thanks. Gérard

Thanks for expressing your appreciation of the HJG hosted AFG CARAVELLE´s Gerard I think this can be ddone in regard to "some" (but maybe not all) simulations .... however .... I´m not sure id this´possible in regard the the CARAVELLE panel programing and these simulatios generally. So far as I´m aware .... the CARAVELLE wing spoilers cannot be "armed" and must therefore always be "manually deployed" (backlask keyboard command in FS). I think that´s how they´re intended to work within these simulations .... and probably the way they worked on the real world aircraft too .... at least among the early CARAVELLE versions. Thank you for your answer. This key works and is used for the CARAVELLE speed breaks. But the ground spoilers is a custom implementation (as you can't have both in FS). It's why I was wondering if the panel programming was using another "event" (like Water Rudder Up/Down, Wing Fold or Tail wheel), something we frequently see in similar situation. Another way to set the question is how is moved the spoiler extend retract lever on the pedestal... Anyway, this is a very minor point and does not diminish the pleasure of flying with this CARAVELLE Regards, Gérard

In FSX, I have my Spoilers and Speed Brakes mapped to my Saitek Digital Flight Yoke and another Switch on my Saitek Throttle Quadrant, they both work fine , no problems. I had to go into the FSX Controls Menu and manually set it up tho. It can be done, users just have to take the time to set things up thru the Menu screen of their flight simulator.

I believe there is a default "SPOILER ARM" keyboard command .... but .... can't recall what it is.
EVEN SO .... and matter of authenticity too .... the wing spoilers on CARAVELE aircraft were "manually deployed" )as I understand) .... and as is required of the current panel line.

AFAIK in both FS9 and FSX the default spoiler keyboard commands are / (forward slash NOT backslash) for spoiler deploy/retract, and SHIFT+/ for spoiler arm.
Hope this helps,
George
