One more rare-ish Golden Tail...beginning in the mid '80s, Continental Micronesia began using some larger 727-200s for routes between Guam and Japan (Nagoya and Osaka primarily, and Tokyo on occasion); in time, they got the globe livery when it was introduced (as represented in the library already), but this represents N79743 in the final version of the 1968 Saul Bass livery featuring large titles and the red meatball logo as seen around 1986. This aircraft is still flying today with Kalitta Charters as N725CK, as its "Air Horse One" equine transport.

Tell ya what .... if you think these (above) are nice, then, you ain't seen notthin' yet Knowimg what I know "may" (possibly) be coming later .... Erik has a number of surprises in store .... and of the type that may put Joseph's technicolor coat to shame too .... SO .... all going to plan, then, this's the space (or rather one of one of a number of HJG spaces) to watch Mark C AKL/NZ

Thanks everybody! When I painted that first PSA MD-80, I definitely didn't expect the project of painting things for the site to become as ambitious as it has...I just wanted to paint something rare that hadn't been represented yet. I owe a ton of thanks to Mark and Tony for providing me with the materials to paint the other types I've done in the meantime, and for being willing to host them here! And yes, as Mark says, there's some more fun stuff on the way

One more American package hauler, in the form of N111FE, a 727-22C of FedEx in the original livery circa 1992. Like all FedEx planes, this one was named after the child of an employee, with the name Dana Marie.

What a fantastic/psychodelic Brasilian flightline! So 60s!! In Europe there was an airline named Court Line, which used several BAC One Elevens and two Tristars (available here at the HJG-webpage/flightline) painted in similar colourful/psychodelic liveries. Klaus PS: Sometimes I wish I was born in the late 60s, so that I could live through the 70s with all its colours, music (Disco Fever! ), fashion and more.

Those COURT LINE liveries were also used by both AVIATECA GUATEMALA and LIAT .... on their BAC ONE ELEVEN's. WELL ... you can "sort of" do that aided by the HJG inventory All it requires is "a desire/dream/inspiration" .... along with a few mouse clicks followed by a drag'n'drop type of inatallation .... and with a little imagination "YOU'R THERE" .... and able to relive even the wildest of fantasies Mark C AKL/NZ

Simply amazing!!! Guys you are the best!
I have flown many times on TransBrasil 727s. The last time was on a 727 with the old interior with open racks. But they also had planes with the "wide body" interiors.
Transbrasil also had some 727QC (quick change) with palletized seats, which flew passengers during the day and cargo (and mail) at night. As a curiosity, when TransBrasil bought it´s 707, they had their own engineers develop a unique 707-300QC version using the knowledge acquired with the 727QC.
Just one observation, which I will be sure when the book I bought on TransBrasil arrives: I believe the original rainbow livery had a "beige" background, not a white one. But I will confirm it later!
