Back home now .... are almost a couple of days away."SAD" news (as much for those whom were killed as the aircraft lost) to return home to Think the aircraft lost (SAHA AIR B707-3J9C EP-CPP c/n # 21128 and l/n # 917) was "the last remaining B707 in commercial service" .... despite its military air freight contracting .... The following link features a video of a SAHA AIR charter flight during 2013.... but .... don't know if it's the same aircraft .... samchui.com/2013/03/01/farewell-saha-air-b707-the-last-active-commercial-b707-in-2013/#.XDzt4pIUl9A.... since SAHA AIR have operated a couple of different B707-320C airframes. I never got to fly on the B707 (I cancelled a QANTAS opportunity back in 1974 .... sorry Nathan ) .... but .... did the next best thing and flew on DC-8's instead (both -52's and -63's) during the 70's, 80's, and very early 90's. Found this video taken aboard "a B707 of similar type and vintage" (definitely not a SAHA aircraft though) during departure and which captures what it was like (for a very authentic experience turn the volume "RIGHT UP") .... albeit very similar to my own DC-8 memories .... www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI3owgIj6zsMark C BOG/CO
