Looks like Magnum P.I.’s helicopter? Nathan. I didn't know that Island Hoppers had fixed-wing aircraft. I thought they had only a Hughes 500-type helicopter. Great livery and it fits nicely for flying around the Carribean and/or Hawaii. Also Magnum P.I. was a great TV-series. Klaus You are both correct. Yes it is based on the MD500D helicopters in Magnum PI. My friend is a Magnum addict (like signed pictures of all the primary cast, original and reboot (actually he has pics of himself WITH most of the reboot cast), props, etc) and passive flight simmer... so I just did the MD500D colors on the DC-9-15RC You know what TC did after the original series. And Klaus there's been 6 MD500Ds now in this color scheme and about flying 10 models over the 2 series... but no never a fixed wing in these colors that I know of... there were a couple episodes where they had fixed wing planes, the only one i recall was a Beech 18, but never in the smashing chocolate pumpkin scheme.

Are you sure .... because I seem remember it, and discussion about it too, prior to 1979 whilst I was at college (hence my being so specific in regard to the time frame given I left college during 1980) .... unless what was broadcast here back then were just pilot episodes.

N5609 again... 1987 now operating as "Bahamas ExPress" which flew EWR-FPO and ATL-FPO as scheduled charters under contract to a New Jersey travel agency and Bahamasair. Also operated some flights on EWR-MIA-NAS and EWR-FLL-NAS for Bahamasair directly to cover for problems with a Bahamasair 737-200.

HMMM .... this could well turn out to be an FS texture road map Peter Mark C AKL/NZ Laker Airways Bahamas is already on my radar Mark There are 4 distinct 727-200s from them: Ex-AA Metal, Ex-US Metal, white and Grand Bahama Island white. I'll see... I have a bunch more coming in the next few days... Royal West PIA 721 (yes another retitled version), original PA hybrid PIA, JetAir 721 (half done already above), another Challenge version of N55AJ, Air Puerto Rico Airlines DC-9-14, and maybe Sunworld 733, DC-9-14 and DC-9-31x2 Also looking at Skybus (DC-9, 721), Best Airways (DC-9), Flight International (721), Gulf Air (TransOcean) (721 722 D8S)... Ill also say this... im looking at doing on the HJG DC-9s what i did on the SGA ones for Eastern... every single variation...5x DC-9-14, 11 DC-9-30 and 3 DC-9-51s. But I will slot the Laker trio in there if there is interest

When I was getting ready to do a different DC-9... I found I had a folder for Emerald Air N38641... I apparently was working on this back in 2016 but abandoned it, I really don't remember... but I can see why I abandoned it, it's taken me hours to get the stripes the work. 8 green with 1 red pin stripes WILL play havoc with your Antialiasing Anyways, N38641 for Emerald Air, circa 1985 Emerald started in the mid 70s with a couple F-27s then moved on to a few DC-9-14/15s and a BAC 1-11 in the 80s. Most famously they flew Continental's Houston Proud Express with this plane starting in 1986. They also had a few ex-Air Florida DC-9-15RCs in a hybrid scheme. They did wet-lease deals with several airlines including Braniff (Mk2), Empire, Britt, and Air Puerto Rico Airlines. Emerald died in 1990 after taking over troubled regional airline Royale in 1989 and a failed attempt to merge with DHC-6 and Dash 7 operator Southern Jersey (USAir Express and Eastern Express carrier). They have a couple more paint schemes I might do... not sure if ill try the Air Florida hybrid though.

Very punny Mark Ok so here's another Emerald Air... in disguise! Well no not really... here is N931EA leased to Air Puerto Rico Airlines circa 1987: Never seen another airline have "TM" in their titles but whatever i guess! Air Puerto Rico Airlines was mostly a Shorts 330 operator, and after being grounded about 4 months after starting DC-9 services the SH330 services were restarted as Air Borinquen. Despite the registration this aircraft never flew for Eastern... N930EA/931EA/932EA were all Emerald Air registrations. A year later this plane got a blue makeover on lease to Braniff. This plane flew Ponce-San Juan-Miami flights mostly. Name is Bella de Ponce... at least thats the most agreed on answer... again not well documented and no clear enough pic to make out the cursive text at least it's not really legible on the FS model either at the correct size.
