"SPOT-ON" Erik
As Erik states .... "if" contemplating installing our "ALL NIPPON AIRLINES 1990 B727-200 ADV" texture .... then it should be used with our
"B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-17" aircraft base pack.
PLEASE NOTE .... and as Erik has also "correctly advised"
.... if the LAST UPDATED date for that particular texture is one of many dated prior to "October 2015" .... then the MODEL= data line within the ADD TO AIRCRAFT/FLTSIM.XX data for this particular texture must be "manually edited" with a 3D Model name (from this recommended base pack) to read precisely as follows ....
model=VHFFailure to do this .... or to do this correctly .... will cause this subject to not display within the FS Aircraft Selection Menu.
Use this base pack with the "B727-200 ADV JT8D-17" panel we offer here. PLEASE NOTE ALSO .... it´s important that aircraft type/engine type base pack files and aircraft type panel/engine type files are correctly matched .... or the performance of these simulations may be impacted.
Use the above recommended base pack and panel files with our B727 P&W JT8D-17" sound pack (and which is also used for the B727 JT8D-9 and -15 base packs and panels too .... since all other B727-200´s use the P&W JT8D-7 sound pack).
"A7E DRIVER" is new to HJG and is therefore excused for not being aware of these details .... BUT .... I´m now going to seize this opportunity to clarify a few details and also once again explain why our B727-200´s "have had to be" presented the way they are and require the recommended treatment
In regard to precisely what aircraft base packs and 3D models should be used with each of our B727-200 textures (only .... as our B727-100´s are still, as yet, unaffected by our "forced" 2015 reorganization) please refer to our following linked/forum based "B727 TEXTURE INVENTORY" ....
tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/6297/hjg-b727-texture-inventoryScroll down to the
"B727-200 EARLY, -200F EARLY, -200 ADV, -200F ADV, -200 RE SUPER 27, -200F RE SUPER 27, -200 WL ADV, -200F WL ADV, and -200 WL RE SUPER 27" sections within the above linked inventory.
Beside each listed texture subject both the recommended 3D model name and aircraft base pack are each clearly displayed .... so .... select the stated base back .... and then .... edit the MODEL= data line within the FLTIM.XX data for each texture with the stated 3D model name.
This´s a very simple matter of first selecting the correct base pack .... then .... making "a single manual edit" in regard to the texture FLSTSIM.XX MODEL= data line .... no other action/s are required
PLEASE NOTE .... these MODEL= data line edits only apply to those B727-200 texture subjects that display LAST UPDATED dates prior to "October 2015". All other B727-200 texture subjects released during, and since, "October 2015" already have their correct FLTSIM.XX/MODEL= data assignments applied. A foot note (//) located at the base of the FLSTIM.XX data for each of these later released textures also advises precisely which aircraft base pack, panel, and sound pack should be used.
NOW THEN .... the reason why this has been imposed upon us is fully explained within our following linked BOEING forum page NOTAM ....

"WHY HAS THIS IMPOSITION OCCURRED ?" section of this notice and review our commentary.
It´s also recommended that one takes time to familiarise themselves with our following linked BOEING forum page "B727 MANUAL" also ....
"B727 INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTEStonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/7819/b727-panels-installation-handling-notesIt´s essential this manual be studied .... particularly in regard to
"Sections 1, 3, 4, and 5" at the very least. Almost everything one needs to understand in order to be able to correctly install, and then enjoy, each of these B727 simulations "is" referenced within this manual.
"A7E DRIVER" .... I hope you´ll find this information helpful. Should you require any further advice/guidence then don´t hesitate requesting it
