Hi,
It has been a long time since I was flight simming. Due in part of the event my old laptop had a severe failure iin the GPU circuit. It was 12 years old which wasn't worth repairing. so I trashed it. Everything including FS9 went to the city landfill. This occured in January 2020. Now I own more recent hardware. It is over 1 years old. Bought it new in May or April of 2020. It is a HP Pavilion 15.6 cs3075wm includes a Intel core i7 10th gen processor (4 cores), 8GB RAM Windows 10 64 bit. Intel Iris Graphics Plus on the cpu dye which the box says 128mb dedicated vram but shares 4gb of system ram.
I bought FSX Steam Edition Dec 17, 2021. It runs smoothly on this laptop.
Now I want to learn how to install the HJG Boeing 737 classic's on FSX-SE including panel, sound, model, and liveries. It is a little bit different than FS9 in that airplanes are in the simbojects folder. If I also remember right some things HJG just won't work with FSX.
All I am interested in is the HJG Boeing 737 classics. So anything that doesn't work in FSX from that category from HJG I am interested to know thanks.

Hi Simpilo, happy new year.
The good news is that the aircraft base pack and FSX specific sound packs are compatible, but unfortunately, the panel on the downloads page is only FS9 (FS2004) compatible. You can use the default 737 NG panel that comes with FSX though. Also, the cockpit windows look opaque from certain angles with FSX/FSX-SE.
The following YouTube video will show you the difference’s between installing HJG aircraft in FSX/FSX-SE and FS9. Remember to download the correct FSX compatible sound packs and to use the FSX .cfg files whenever there is an option. For example, in the panel folder in the aircraft base pack you will see panel.cfg and panel_fsx.cfg (or something like that). Rename the panel.cfg as panel_fs9.cfg and save. Next got to panel_fsx.cfg and rename it as panel.cfg. Do that wherever you are given an ####_fsx.cfg option.
Let me know how you go.
Cheers, Nathan

Points I want to make/clarify here for everyone's best/better understanding .... The HJG B737-300/400/500 aircraft base packs (that's the principle files for each containing 3D models and FDE) "are" all "FSX portable" .... as are the textures we offer for each of these base pack models too. We also offer "separate" FS9 and FSX specific sound packs "customized for the FDE in each of the base packs we offer" .... just make sure you select and install the "FSX specific sound packs version/s for FSX use". As Nathan has pointed out though .... the panel we offer is "not ours" and "is not" FSX portable .... HOWEVER .... other "FSX SPECIFIC" (only) versions of this same panel are available at FS.COM, but, if using any of these other options with what we offer then please be aware that HJG "CANNOT" offer techinical support "for this/these other panel options". Otherwise .... these/our B737 simulations do function fine in FSX .... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zpw1m8m2YKYMark C AKL/NZ
