Thank you for allowing me to join your form, I am confused I D/L the paint for McDonnell Douglas MD90. Now there are 3 maybe 4 different models of the MD90 I picked the first one on the list because you DO NOT specify the model for the paint D/L of the prototype MD90-30. How can you tell whats what here After applying the prototype paint to the first model it showed up BLANK it takes me a long time to apply this paint and to see it come up blank is a disappointment.
Thanks

You can apply our MD-90 textures to "ANY" of the 3 MD-90 base packs supplied .... this's actually stated within the forum based manual although you can be forgiven for perhaps not being aware of this given you're new here The 3D models in each base pack are identical. The differences between these base packs is in regard to the specified weights and power assignments for each (and which "DOES" influence FS performance) .... simply because that's how these actual aircraft were configured in regard to RW operations and also how this project was conceived "for us". The reality dictating what we offer is based on the fact that some years "after" the MD-90 first entered service the FAA approved a weight increase for these aircraft and which is how/why the non-standard "IGW" (Increased Gross weight) designation came about. What this enables is .... one can "choose to" fly our MD-90 simulations in accordance with their original or the later revised weight specifications .... or in accordance with the other and more rare "ER" (Extended Range) type configuration. The MD-90ER configuration applies to "some of" (but not all of) the Asian operated aircraft only .... such as CHINA EASTERN AIRLINES, CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES, *EVA AIR, FAR EASTERN AIR TRANSPORT, *GREAT CHINA AIRLINES, and UNI AIR. Again the choice as to which particular base pack is used for each texture is left "ENTIRELY UP TO THE END USER" .... all of them work well if correctly installed. "IF" the installed texture subject is appearing in your FS Aircraft Selection Menu, but, "devoid of any texturing" then this suggests you've edited and made a mistake in regard to the CFG stated TEXTURE= data line within the CFG versus the actual TEXTURE FOLDER NAME .... or .... it could mean there's an error/mismatch between the CFG stated TEXTURE= data line and TEXTURE FOLDER NAME within the file "as we spply it". The latter shouldn't apply though .... if the texture you've elected to install is one released by us since 2019. "IF" the subject you're trying to install simply isn't appearing in the FS Aircraft Selection Menu at all, then, that's an entirely different issue. "IF" you're using our texture/s with the MD-90 Panel & FDE package supplied by Chesley HANN, then, I need to refer you to that particular party in order to resolve your issue .... as some of the data contained within this other non-HJG supplied package is different from what we offer here and for that reason we don't provide support for it. Since reply posting I've now checked the "McDONNELL-DOUGLAS" livery texture for our MD-90 model .... I confirm the content of this files is correctly configured. Need you to confirm precisely what you mean by "BLANK" .... in respect of this subject either appearing within the FS Aircraft Selection Menu but without any texturing .... or .... not appearing at all within the FS Aircraft Selection Menu. Need to also know what FS version you're using .... FS2004 or FSX. Would also be helpful if you COPY & PASTE just the FLTSIM.XX section only for the Texture you're installing (so we can see precisely what you've done) .... not the entire CFG content though .... and we'll try'n take matters from there .... one-step-at-a-time.
