Hi friends: Lisa Marie Presley died yesterday. She flew as a child often in the plane named after her. May she rest in peace. Kind regards Walter

A little background concerning that particular aircraft/CV880 .... This aircraft was line # 38 and first delivered to DELTA AIR LINES (N8809E) on October 22nd 1960. DELTA traded this aircraft BOEING on January 1st 1974 .... it having accumulated some 40,270 hours total flying time. It was sold to Nigel WINFIELD on April 17th 1975 .... then onsold to Elvis PRESLEY on April 18th 1975 (N880EP .... named "Lisa Marie"... and with whom it operated under the "Hound Dog One" call sign) for some $250,000. PRESLEY reportedly then spent another $600,000 outfitting the aircraft with a luxury/interior .... which included a queen sized bed, quadraphonic sound system, gold plated bathroom fixtures, and an executive type lounge. A portable GPU was also carried aboard the aircraft and could be winched out and pressed into service making the aircraft virtually independent of airport located ground/energy sources. The TCB and lightning bolt tail logo was a PRESLEY icon .... its titles being an anonym for "TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS IN A FLASH". PRESLEY used this aircraft to travel throughout the USA ... and which also included a trip to Hawaii during which a navigator was added to the aircraft's otherwise standard 3-man flight crew. Following PRESELEY's 1977 passing the aircraft was marketed for $3.9 million. It was eventually traded for much less though to the LM CORPORATION (no relationship whatsoever to Lisa-Marie PRESELEY) and flew executive charters within North American and as far afield as both France and Switzerland. This aircraft was withdrawn from service on January 20th 1979 and placed into storage at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. It was later flown to flown to Memphis, Tennessee, USA and after being towed through city streets, then reassembled, it was from February 6th 1984 placed on permanent display at the Elvis's Gracelands property which has since become a museum devoted to the music legends memory. In addition to the CV880-22 PRESELEY also owned an executive configured L-1329 JETSTAR (N777EP) .... From an HJG perspective .... Dee WALDRON produced the HJG CV880 models and FDE .... this FDE was last updated by Mike MONCE aand myself during 2014. Marco BALZAROTTI originally produced the HJG CV880 panels .... and which were last updated (both panels and their supporting gauges/core files) by George CARTY during 2018. Benoit PLAMONDON produced new CV880 sound packs (separate files for FS2004 and FSX specifically) which HJG released during December 2022/a few weeks ago .... CV880/880M GE CJ805-3/-3B Turbojetwww.youtube.com/watch?v=HJUkxQTleI0Tony MADGE painted the PRESLEY TCB livery for the HJG model during 2007. So .... plenty there to rock your socks off with and to be enjoyed in FS .... whilst at the same time also listening to "The Kings" best chart toppers www.youtube.com/watch?v=JG5vJAvaG2U Mark C AKL/NZ

Hi friends: Tried to tinker a little with the HJG CV 880 panel for my personal pleasure: The ADI and the HSI are state of the art at the end of the seventies, the AoA indicator are my flight sim addon to most of the "airplanes" in my hangar. And "Lisa Marie" has the Doppler radar navigation equipment, most of the real CV 880 and CV 990 had. Elvis renewed his panel shortly before his dead, so an INS is also there. I used the CV 990 WX, so the INS is left not in the middle. Kind regards Walter
