Lot's Of Lovely Loud 'LEVEN's
This presentation is a further extension of HJG's tribute to the late Garry RUSSELL.
Many whom have only become associated with the HJG community post 2013 might never have heard of Garry. Garry RUSSELL was an active and very well known quality FS painter .... specializing primarily, but not exclusively, in liveries for the great classic British jetliner models by DMFS .... and as well as the equally great classic British piston and turbo-prop models by RPFS. He also later branched out into FS 3D modelling too .... producing both his own BRISTOL SUPER FREIGHTER and CANADAIR CL-44/YUKON models/simulations for FS. In addition to this, Garry was also a major contributor to the AW-650 ARGOSY, HS 748, VANGUARD, and VISCOUNT turbo-prop projects for FS also by RPFS (hosted by CBFS) .... and also in association with Fraser McKAY. He was additionally a respected member of the CBFS-team too .... from around 2006/7 and until shortly before his untimely passing during 2013. Although Garry was never an HJG team-member .... through his extensive participation with, and contribution to, this group he was regarded by us as an "ancillary HJG team-member" (I, for one, was responsible for testing almost all of his new texture productions between 2005 and 2006). Garry may have departed our physical FS world .... but .... his spirit continues to dwell among us in respect of both our memories of him and the FS legacy he's left behind .... for everyone else's "FREE" enjoyment.
"THIS" was the reason behind HJG's "GARRY RUSSELL MEMORIAL COLLECTION" .... established during 2021 .... and "in his honor". HJG's full tribute to Garry (beyond his other FS textures already hosted by HJG) can be reviewed per the following forum link ....

The BAC ONE-ELEVEN .... also affectionately known as "THE JEEP, THE POCKET ROCKET", and "THE BONE VIBRATOR" .... was one of the British aviation industries success stories throughout its 1962 to 1982 production years. Although only 244 airframes were ever produced .... these aircraft flew within all 4 corners of the world and earned a sterling reputation for both their ruggedness and reliability. The last operational airframe saw service within the USA until relatively recently. In comparison with other civil jetliners of its era the BAC ONE-ELEVEN was in a "similar" league to the DC-9 .... intended for short to medium haul ranges. It was an aircraft that didn't have much to say (i.e. It wasn't as powerful as the DC-9) .... BUT .... everything it did say was expressed "VERY LOUDLY" (i.e. Even in HK form its RR Spey turbofan engines were among the most "NOISEY" to ever enter civil aviation service during the 1960's and 70's .... there was often little mistaking the sound of a BAC ONE-ELEVEN, or HS TRIDENT, upon departure

The following is a selection of "historic" BAC ONE-ELEVEN textures (representing the -200/-400/-500/and -510ED in both standard and HK engine form) .... each of which were produced by the late Garry RUSSELL. These textures have each been "RECONDITIONED" (originally produced in the old FS DXT3 format each has now been converted to the later/more common/current EXT 32.888 NO MIPS format .... resulting in each of these textures now appearing "sharper" than was the case originally and also less prone to displaying "blurries") .... but .... "without changing a single detail" to alter Garry's concept of "how he wanted these/his representations of these liveries to appear".
For those whom like the BAC ONE-ELEVEN, and still use either FS2004 or FSX, there's a fair bit here to (hopefully) satisfy one's pleasure flying virtual African (west), British Isles, European, Central American/Caribbean, Indonesian, Mediterranean (both the Baleares and Greek islands), and US (central north-east and eastern seaboard) services .... perfect for those historic route re-enactments.
We also remind everyone the BAC ONE-ELEVEN simulations (in fact each of the DMFS simulations) have been further improved by HJG since their 2021 release here (thanks to the efforts of George CARTY .... whom has fixed all previously known issues that existed with each of the DMFS panels as well as making these simulations properly FSX portable too). These simulations are also now additionally supported by further improved (2021 released) customized HQ sound packs by Benoit PLAMONDON (separate audio for FS2004 and FSX is provided .... individually representing RR SPEY 506, RR SPEY 511, RR and SPEY 512 engine types for these DMFS bAN ONE-ELEVEN's).
So .... very soon one will be able to "pick a plane" .... fly one's preferred virtual "FS real estate" .... and make "A HELL OF A LOT OF NOISE" whilst doing so

There's a fair bit of BAC ONE-ELEVEN "history" presented below (again thanks to the efforts of Garry RUSSELL) .... this being what the "H", in "HJG", has always been about since 2000

"IMPORTANT NOTES
1. The PACIFIC EXPRESS BAC ONE-ELEVEN 200 livery is still "pending" (?). Despite being included within the above presentation this particular livery may in fact be replaced by that of one of our other artists "subject to ongoing consultation".
2. The 2 DAN-AIR BAC ONE-ELEVEN 400 liveries are "essentially" identical .... apart from the fact that the 1969 version represents this livery in its original and "clean" delivery condition .... whereas the 1972 version represents a "dirty" in-service appearance by that period. Not sure yet whether I'll release one or the other .... or alternatively .... include "BOTH" versions within the same Texture Container thereby allowing the end user decide their own preference.
3. The LANICA/COURT LINE BAC ONE-ELEVEN 500 textures feature additional WING Texture BMP's to enable either white, pink, or natural metal with corroguard panels surfaces .... the end user can decide their own preferences.
4. Apart from a couple of our artists whom I regularly assist with imagery and whom may still have work forthcoming to be presented, these may (possibly) be my last image presentations ... for a bit ... .due to other RW priorities at present.
I do still have several rare "corporate/VIP liveries" for the BAC ONE-ELEVEN though and these will be presented .... "later".
