He might like to consider doing a similar historic route re-enactment using your "recently/just upgraded" MARTINAIR HOLLAND DC-8-55F Jim .... and also using our new V6.1 DC-8-55F Aircraft Base Pack/Model, with our DC-8-50 panel, and also Benoit's customized DC-8-50 P&W JT3D-3B fanjet sound pack too Mark C AKL/NZ

Very nice screenies! Glad you are enjoying this livery, one of my favorites!!! Sure I'm, Jim. I love Martinair and I wish they still existed in their original form. Your livery has a slight typo error though. The registration is incorrectly shown as PH-MPB. Also it's missing the plane's name: HONGKONG. These are nothing of consequence though and the livery is beautiful. One of the best liveries i ever saw was on a MPH MD-11 named "Prinses Maxima". She had beautiful roses all over her.

The DC-8 could be put on a Hajj charter to Indonesia like MP138 which crashed in Ceylon; or a holiday charter to Cairo.

I presume it's the DC-10 .... and "NOT" the DC-8 we're talking about here .... right ? I also presume the registration should then read "PH-MBP" .... right ? According to the following photos though it seems -MBP didn't always support a name, so, Jim's reproduction appears to be "quite correct" for what seems to be the very late 70's through very early 90's era .... 197819911992 .... with nameDuring 1985 -MBP was operated by MARTINAIR for AIR SEYCHELLES and did supported "a name" .... but .... it doesn't look like "Hong Kong" (hard to read) despite the fact production records indicate this aircraft carried that name from the time of it's 1976 delivery and until at least the time of its 1978 lease to GARUDA .... and it's 1979 lease to PHILIPPINE AIRLINNES .... 1979 PHILIPPINE AIRLINES .... no namewww.aussieairliners.org/dc-10os/netherlands/phmbp.html1985 AIR SEYCHELLES .... with name"IF" .... Jim wishes to edit the registration then I can get a new file up. Sometimes it's easy to do this .... other times not so. "THIS" particular prospect (plus another which I'll run past Jim if he's interested) is one that runs into "e-a-s-y street". Mark C AKL/NZ

I had a quick look and couldn't find anything definitive either Jeddah/Saudi Arabia seems to have been the final destination for FLT 138 as a Hadj Service from operating Surabaya/Indonesia, but, your right that the accident happen during approach to it's Colombo stopover .... Nice screenshot images of the Martinair DC-10-30CF. One of the Photo's of 1978 shows the aircraft at the old Terminal One at Toronto International Airport with what appears to be a Wardair DC-10.

Yes OK. One of the folks standing on the roof top could have been me as I spent many hours taking photos and videos from Terminal One which no longer exists. My first attempt at videography. No HD cameras then.
