"THANKS" Kurt .... Mike and Paul will appreciate that since they're the one's that deserve such acknowledgement/s (for the basic simulation/what people get to fly I mean)
We may be able to further improve things (still) as time advances .... already looking at that since this particular project's "NOT" finished yet
The secret to getting these simulation to perform "believably" is essentially just "understanding the B737-200" (or any other aircraft type we represent) .... then understanding FS sufficiently (in order to know what we can do and where .... since some things aren't achievable due to the limitations of FS itself) in order to be able to translate everything into "a reasonably credible simulation" .... all of which is a formulae applied to every simulation (within reason) we currently offer.
Most seem happy .... which is encouraging. I've only received one "particularly unsavory response" from someone very recently/to date .... BUT HEY .... we just get on with it all regardless. Some people simply can't be pleased .... let alone helped/advised oir even told though
Just further extending my remark/s of yesterday .... whilst also intending to remind as well ....
One "WILL" find flight performances, in FS, of each of these B737-200 simulations is "VASTLY SUPERIOR" to that of their original releases. As I last replied .... Mike, Paul, and myself did "a hell of lot of work" on these simulations over an extended period in order to improve them.
"IF" one starts by using the early lowest power/weight configurations of these simulations and advances to the later highest power/weight versions accordingly, then, one will gain some impression as to how B737-200 performances and capabilities improved throughout the aircrafts development (most obviously in regard to TO distance in FS and at/near MGW) .... provided one flies each simulation as is recommended (which essentially means loading each and setting no more than the recommended power for TO since using MAX POWER for every TO is "unnecessary") .... otherwise one will only deny oneself the intended/best B737-200 experience "we're currently able to provide".
The base packs, and their accompanying FDE, are each aircraft type/engine type specific in respect of weight and engine thrust .... and also in regard to flight tuning too "where necessary" .... all of which implicate "handling".
Among a number of performance/handling variations incorporated into these simulations it should be noted/experienced that the early B737-200's each require a slightly higher airspeed than the ADV versions in order to maintain a "desirable" approach-to-landing pitch attitude/profile ....
B737-200 & -200C EARLY/PRE 1970 PROCUCTIOM .... requires higher airspeed in order to satisfactorily address/reduce the natural tendency to fly a higher landing pitch attitude (common to early production B737-200's prior to later aerodynamic modifications).
B737-200 ADV & -200C ADV POST 1970 PRODUCTION (includes both CT-43A and TC-43A) .... requires less airspeed during approach to landing.
The "Basic Flying Guide" information provided within "SECTION 5" of the forum based B737-200 manual is intended to educate in regard to this and other details .... essentially the best/recommended handling for each of these B737-200 simulations.
Although AIR.FILE's supporting these simulations are each named either "B737-200" or "B737-200ADV" (for administrational convenience) the data within each "IS" specifically customized in accordance with the technical specifications relating to each type (based on the best/most reliable RW reference data we can access). Avoid mixing up these base packs and their FDE data .... otherwise the intended performance of each simulation "WILL" be messed up completely.
For the best/most enjoyable B737-200 experience (subject to certain FS limitations of course) use each texture with the stated aircraft base pack and sound pack recommendations.
The correct aircraft texture/base pack/sound assignments are clearly stated within ADD TO AIRCRAFT data accompanying each Texture file .... and also stated within both the September and December/Christmas announcements too .... and then additionally stated within the following-linked new forum based "HJG LATEST FILES RELEASES/LATEST HJG B737 TEXTURES file access and supply thread too ....
tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/10343/latest-hjg-b737-textures
Therefore all of the necessary/essential information's provided .... and is even additionally duplicated within the following-linked forum based B737-200 manual as well ....
tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/10406/b737-200-installation-handling-notes
The above information's simply intended as "A RFEMINDER ONLY".
Should anyone need to ask, then, post all "TECHNICAL AND SUPPORT" related queries in regard to the HJG offered B737-200 simulations on the "BOEING SUPPORT" forum page please .... and not with this announcement thread.
