"IMPORTANT NOTICE"

All new files are being offered as per each of our 2023 and FEB, APR, JUN 2024 releases. The reason behind this necessity has been repeated within "ORIENTATION NOTES" accompanying each 2023 release. Preview and Download links for each new/upgraded file are provided "within this announcement" (below). If one's new to the HJG website then "pay close attention to the following" ....


When selected each "PREVIEW" tab displays the preview image relating to the corresponding new texture subject.

When selected each "FILE NAME/AIRCRAFT TYPE/OPERATOR/LIVERY DATE DESCRIPTION" tab links to the ZIP file relating to the corresponding new texture subject.

All file information (recommended aircraft base pack, panel, sound assignment etc assignments) appears listed within each aircraft type category listed within this announcement. All file links have been individually checked using a variety of browsers and WINDOWS OS's .... each of the following links have are confirmed to be working fine.

DOWNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:

Users of older WINDOWS OS's (prior to WIN 7) should need only click each individual download link in order to access the desired files.

Users of newer WINDOWS OS's (WIN 7 and later) will need to apply the following instructions in order to access the desired files ....


- Right Click each download link.
- Select the "OPEN LINK IN NEW WINDOW" option within the pop-up/dialogue box.
- Left Click to hilite the file data appearing within the Top Menu Bar.
- Select the "ENTER/RETURN" key.
- Select a tab from the "SAVE AS" menu box (at the left) for your download destination of choice ("DESKTOP" is recommended).
- Select the "SAVE" tab in order to download the file.

PLEASE NOTE: It's recommended one refreshes one's browser "prior to, and between, each and every individual download" using keyboard commands CTRL+F5 in order access these file offerings with ease.

PLEASE NOTE ALSO: Some may find it necessary to adjust their browser settings to “Allow Pop Ups” (from HJG website/forum) in order to access the linked files with ease.

PLEASE NOTE ADDITIONALLY: Some may need to adjust their Security Settings in order to access linked files with ease (such is "an extremely rare" scenario but can happen (and has happened over past years) in regard to our main DOWNLOADS page also and which can only be resolved by the End User).

Be prepared to act in accordance with "either" of the above recommendations.

As previously stated .... this download system works "PERFECTLY WELL" .... provided the recommended procedures are adhered to. Given the circumstances beyond our control this alternative file supply and access system is preferable to either not releasing anything at all or risking delaying file releases indefinitely. This ultimately ensures "YOU" (the End User) get to access everything sooner or otherwise "WITHOUT DELAY"

This thread has been branded "HJG NEW/UPGRADED FILES RELEASES" as technically speaking this is an alternative means of file supply and access given the content of all DOWNLOADS page sections are "UNEDITED". This system of file supply and access will remain effective in regard to all subsequent HJG releases during the foreseeable future.

In the event of problems being encountered with any file post all related queries on the relative AIRCRAFT TYPE SUPPORT forum pages (not in response to this particular thread please) and we'll attend to each as quickly as possible

"ORIENTATION NOTES"

"WELCOME" HJG's 4th release for this 2024 year.

This release's composed of some 79X new texture and aircraft base pack files for your "FREE" FS2004 and FSX enjoyment.

Just the following advisories and reminders to communicate in respect of content included within this latest release .... pay attention to the content of note #1 in particular though.


1. 5X new aircraft base packs are being offered within this release. These are for each of the following aircraft type subjects ....

B707-320C TANKER
EC-18B
KC-135A SHIP ONE 1956 (short tail prototype "BETA")
KC-135A (short tail early production "BETA")
KC-135R 1982 (Prototype "BETA")

PLEASE NOTE: The new KC-135A SHIP ONE 1956 (short tail prototype), KC-135A (short tail early production)", and "KC-135 1982R PROTOTYPE" Aircraft Base Packs/Models are being released as "BETA FILES". Be aware the main landing gear wheel animations on each these 3D models (only) currently do not rotate .... but .... the nose gear wheel on each are OK/do rotate fine. This "DOES NOT" impair the FS ground mobility of these simulations in any way, shape, or form .... it's simply "a minor visual animation impairment issue only". These simulations otherwise ground maneuver and fly "PERFECTLY FINE" in FS, without any other issues whatsoever, and with each of their additional animations being "TOTALLY UNAFFECTED" .....







For reasons of "circumstances" it may not be possible to correct this minor issue within the remaining duration of this year. I thought long, and hard, in regard to whether or not we should release these models now .... but .... given our graphics artists had already produced a number of textures for them, and prior to the dictating circumstances which have arisen, I've therefore opted to do so now. I'm simply not prepared to withhold work undertaken by any of our artists (doing so's hardly fair to them) when length of the delay fixing these otherwise perfectly performing 3D models can't be definitively ascertained. The cited issue's "EXTREMELY MINOR" anyway .... so much so in fact the majority of folk likely wouldn't be aware had I not first mentioned this particular detail. If such were not the case and performance of these simulations was adversely impaired (to any extent), then, I wouldn't be releasing these 3D models .... or any of their supporting textures either .... and regardless of inconvenience to anyone. Again .... these simulations perform "PERFECTLY FINE" .... save for the cited "minor" main gear wheel (visual rotation) animation issue .... which "WILL" be addressed as soon as circumstances permit.

PLEASE NOTE ALSO: The new "B707-320C TANKER" (RAAF configuration) and "EC-18B Aircraft Base Pack/Models are "ENTIRELY UNAFFECTED" by the above courtesy alert. 2X RAAF textures are provided for the 3D B707-320C TANKER model. These "ARE NOT" the same as those featured on the (official) HJG Downloads page. These textures have each been "enhanced" for greater sharpness in FS .... and are updated with additional Texture BMP's to detail the under-wing (and animated) MPRS refueling system represented with this particular 3D model ....





A single USAF texture only is provided for the EC-18B .... this's an entirely new release texture also ....



PLEASE NOTE ADDITIONALLY: In the case of the new "KC-135A SHIP ONE 1956 (short tail prototype) Aircraft Base Pack. 2X 3D Model files are provided. The "NCD" model "DOES NOT" (intentionally) feature an animated forward fuselage main deck cargo door (this's the correct R/W configuration for this particular prototype/demonstrator aircraft) ....



The "CD" model "DOES" feature a forward fuselage main deck cargo door (represented just for the sake of those whom might like having such). 1X texture file (only) is offered for this particular aircraft subject .... but 2X preconfigured FLTSIM.XX texture entries are provided within its base pack .... one linked to each of the 2X 3D models. Both 3D models are engineered to use "this very same texture" ....



In the case of the new "KC-135A (short tail early production)" Aircraft Base Pack. This particular 3D model features a different engine configuration than that of the accompanying new KC-135A SHIP ONE 1956 (short tail prototype) 3D model ....

I saw the post about the Boeing 707 Military, I really loved the update of these models, also if as you commented that there was not going to be animation in some models, I will wait for the final versions, I will be attentive and patient to be able to download them, If they passed the test and if not, the other military models are animated.

That's not really what I communicated

To repeat/clarify what I "actually stated" within the ORIENTATION NOTICES associated with this release (and have also since edited into the "KNOWN ISSUES" section of the C-135 MANUAL too) ....


1. The edit required to resolve this "MINOR" issue likely "will not be available within the remaining duration of this year" .... and beyond this statement I'm not prepared to speculate in regard to the length of any delay. This's due to "private/personal circumstances" .... given that if people aren't available to attend to something, then, we can't do anything about it

2. The 4X models demonstrating the said "MINOR ISSUE" (that's the EC-18B, KC-135A SHIP ONE 1956, KC-135A EARLY PRODUCTION, and KC-135R 1982 Prototype "ONLY" .... Main Gear wheels "not" rotating but Nose Gear wheels rotating fine) each otherwise ground maneuver, and fly, "PERFECTLY WELL" in FS and regardless of the said "MINOR" issue. For this reason neither of these 4X simulations (nor potential end user enjoyment of them) are actually the least bit disadvantaged .... and all other animations associated with these same 4X models do work "PERFECTLY".


"IF" .... performance of these 4X models was the least bit affected in any way shape or form, then, I wouldn't have released them at all

Again .... the FS performance of each of these 4X models is "TOTALLY UNAFFECTED", but again, I suspect we're going to be confronted with "a potentially long delay" before this particular "MINOR" issue can be resolved .... since the matter's entirely out of our hands.

Can't do more, or communicate clearly, more than that

There "ARE" yet more projects "on the go", but, only 24 hours within each day .... and only a few hours within a couple days of each week during which these can be advanced .... however I'm (reasonably) confident HJG will be able to deliver these .... and possibly a lot more yet too .... all going well/to plan.

All earlier SEPT 12th posted forum notes relating to this particular model are now updated accordingly.

"Hopefully" .... we'll be able to get the 3X new short tail/early production KC-135A models fixed too, but, will advise when/if such is successfully accomplished. Once again and just as earlier related .... these 3X simulations are "ENTIRELY UNAFFECTERD" by this particular limitation.
