Actually I fly all our aircraft into Kingston/Jamaica a lot too .... en route to Bogota/Colombia. Bloody short runway though .... not that it's presented me with any major problems yet. Just got to be cautious about weight .... and "plan" accordingly Mark C AKL/NZ

How odd. Some can see it and some can't. It's a standard 700 x 523 .jpg hosted on my own website - a formula which hasn't failed me before Oh well. You're not missing much - it's a rather drab side shot of a BOAC 707-336 about to land at Kingston at sunset. You can probably imagine what that looks like anyway......... ;D edit: (ooops! Didn't mean for it to sound like the 707 was drab! It's beautiful. It's just the shot that's drab.)

Just out of curiosity, thought I'd try the same image hosted on photobucket. Does this solve the problem? BTW can anybody not see my avatar and animated sig strip? edit: Michael - you posted just as I was composing! But if you can now see the original it only deepens the mystery. I think we'd better leave it there, because wouldn't life be boring without mysteries? ;D

Both images appearing fine to me "SPEEDBIRD 591". Maybe some folks security systems are blocking/impairing their ability to see the imagery Mark C AKL/NZ

Speedbird591 - the problem is that your link to the image in your original post includes backward (Microsoft) slashes, rather than forward (Unix/WWW) slashes. This means that the image appears correctly in Internet Explorer, but not in Firefox.

George - I'm impressed! Well spotted! I don't know how I managed that, but I've corrected it now. Thanks for that.

Where, oh where is there a good virtual BOAC that flies the 707? If there isn't one, let me help build one.

Where, oh where is there a good virtual BOAC that flies the 707? If there isn't one, let me help build one. Hello lordhearteater. I saw your similar plaintive cry for a virtual BOAC on the CBFS site. But that site is a sanctuary dedicated to BRITISH Classic aircraft and will obviously not host Boeings. There used to be a virtual BOAC a few years back but I assume it died a death. I think all the 60s and 70s aircraft are available in BOAC colours. I have the HJG 707-336s and 436s, David Maltby's Comet, VC10 and Super VC10 and the Posky 747 Classic in BOAC livery all of which I fly frequently. What I don't have is a desire to fly for a virtual airline. I spent 30 years being told where and when to fly by BOAC and BA and I'm not going to spend my retirement doing it for nothing! ;D Good luck with your project, anyway. I hope you find some more like-minded people to join you. Best regards, Ian
