NOPE ! ;D
YEP .... they are different alright !
Some of the differences are quite major/obvious as previously spotted and reported .... but .... others are quite minor by comparason.
Keep trying/guessing ! ;D

Hi Mark,
Ok, my eyes are really straining now. 1963 - 1965 model specifies 320B aft of rear pax door. 1967 - 1968 model just specifies 320. 1963 combi specifies 320C.

BRAVO .... and well spotted Frank ! Your prize is in the mail .... an AMERICAN AIRLINES size bag of nuts/pretzels, and an HJG Teddy Bear ! ;D "YES" .... for the first few years of operation the NORTHWEST AIRLINES B707 fleet supported "B707-320B" and "B707-320C" titles aft .... respectively on each type. Later these titles were standardized on both types to read just "B707-320".I enjoyed all this .... and we might play this game again sometime in the near future with something else. Under normal circumstances we would not bother going in for such a multiplice of minor variations of livery for any particular carrier. However .... in the case of NORTHWEST, PAN AM, CONTINENTAL, PACIFIC NORTHERN (John's exclusive domains), and TWA (which is exclusively Nick's department) we've decided to stretch tolerances somewhat in respect these particular carriers "only" (not for everything though) .... due to public demand/interest per the relatively numerous and frequent PM's and other private email I've recieved. Thanks John for going to the trouble of representing each of these so b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l-l-y ! Thanks folks for your interest and suggestions too over past months ! We hope you'll enjoy these when they are released Mark C AKL/NZ

Hi Mark, Alright ! This was fun and hope to see more in the future. Northwest's livery was very classy as was many of the era. It showed pride. If my memory serves me, wasn't Air france the one that started the trend to an all white fuselage which made them look very plain and boring ? Today's schemes may be exciting for some, but give me an aircraft with a cheat line anytime. With the retro hoopla, I'm surprised Northwest has not done one. A B757 would look nice in this livery. A special thanks to everyone here for their dedication and talents in making this site " Numero Uno ". Looking forward to the release. Frank, Spokane, WA

Just added (above) the final 2 members for what will become a 3 aircraft set of NORTWEST AIRLINES B720-B aircraft .... in a selection of chronological liveries. As I mentioned much earlier on in this post, we wouldn't normally offer such "variety" of liveries for the same airline, but, due to past requests we've decided to do so in the case of NORTHWEST and a very small selection of other historicly significant operaters .... we hope you'll enjoy these. Pitty we can't play "spot the difference" with these too .... but .... I think everyone's pretty much now wised-up as to know precisely what to look for "SPOT-ON" John .... and thanks for all your paintaking research to get each of these repaints right ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Hello Mark;
The only other "subtle" difference I am able to spot, is that the letter "B" and "C" is not part of the BOEING 320 on al the various models.

YEAH .... that's pretty much it .... and the same degree of variances also apply to the B720-B flightline previewed above as well.
These shouldn't be too far away now !

Hi Guys
The overall differences with the Northwest Orient liveries varied from ear to year.
The earliest scheme seen in 1961 featured no door outlines, a "Northwest compass boomerang" nose red stripe, small "Northwest Orient Airlines" lettering with the "Orient" in red/white out-llining on the left side only behind the forward cabin door, the registration number was featured on the fuselage without US flag behind it, Boeing 720B in black outlined with white. The US flag was outlined and painted up on the tail. No wing exit outlines either. Any windows that were plugged during this era featured a gray cover in their place.
The "1965 era scheme" featured a re-positioned and shaped "Northwest Compass" on the nose moved off the radome, larger "Northwest Orient Airlines" lettering overall in Navy Blue with a new "Fan ->-Jet" logo under that behind the forward cabin door on the left side and now on the right side ahead of the galley servicing doors. The Registration numbers were the same, only the US flag was removed from the tail and re-shaped and set behind the tail number. Boeing 720B logo in the back was made in white only. Door outlines added in charcoal gray. Wing exit outlines added. Plugged windows were painted in Navy Blue.
The third and final version was seen from around 1967-68 period with essentially the same as the 1965 livery but with Navy Blue and White door outlines and sometimes the removal of the Boeing 720B logo in the back.
Overall this was the same theme seen with the 707-351B/SCD and 707-351C fleet as well. I like the little competition Mark generated on the "Spot the Differences" ;D
I hope you folks enjoy these very much!
Regards John
