You are right though! but there were more 707's built! ;D Ben Could be (probably is), but give me a Douglas any day. Naturally, a Boeing man would say the same thing about 'his' airplane. But, I was with an airline that had both and had pilots that flew both, and while they only flew the -720, they preferred the DC-8. Gee, have I progressed yet?

Just have a browse around the forum. We are a friendly bunch, we have a good laugh, but there is more of a historical theme to our forum though, its all to do with the history of these first generation jetliners......
So "skyking", have a look around, post some screenshots, make some repaint requests, do whatever you feel fits here, we also have an off topic board.
But more importantly welcome to HJG!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but....
THANK YOU ALL!! Admins ans creators, designers, etc... of this absolutely wonderful site. You've breathed fresh air into this simmers life with these beauties. Don't know how I've not come across you sooner, but thank you again for your hard work.
Seeing these classics flying again, even if only on a computer monitor, is a treat. With all the hard work, and no doubt endless critiquing by us outsiders, please accept my thanks.\
Seeing the "three holer" in AA colours brings me back to the day of refueling them at KORD. Seeing the 707's, DC-8's flying over my house as a child can now be relived. Did I say "thanks" yet?
Now living in Central America, I will relive my Chicago childhood days all over again.
P.S. I'm a big fan of North Central Airlines, hope an A/C comes out that carried Herman the Duck on it's tail.
Did I say Thank you yet?
Cheers, Dan from Belize

As a former North Central employee, the 727's were strictly a Republic A/C so in order to "Herman" on it you need to request a Republic bird. North Central had only DC9-31's & 51's. As a tidbit of info the first NWA DC9 that Delta painted in to their scheme was an old "Herman" bird. Also if you are looking for other Herman's I have painted Greg Pepper & Tom Gibson's CV-340 & CV-580's plus the default DC-3. Search: AVSIM under STEFAN.

Thanks for the welcome, as well as the info. I believe a few Hughes Airwest (?) were aquired as well? I remember my first flight in a commercial a/c was the North Central Fokker. Flew from Chicago to Green Bay. Too bad most airlines today are Wal-Marts, but back before deregulation, they were more mom and pop. That's why this site is so groovy, man! History. :-)
Glad to be here.
