Just my opinion:
Notebook aren't in general good for running Heavy graphic applications. I have the NVidia 7600GT and it is IMHO just about tho handle the load, so a 7300 seems a bit small.
1GB RAM would do, but the more the better....
A dual Core is almost a must for running FSX (I run a single Core) but the higher the frequency the better
550 PSU might be enough, but again here, a more powerful PSU might come in handy....
In general I would consider it in the lower end for running FSX, and in the middle for running FS9.
Others may have another view though ;-)

Hi DankH
thanks for pointing out these things too me. Before i was uisng a 4year old emachines 190....which was a intel celeron and had 512RAM. FS played like a slide show at high detailed airports. Therefore i want to avoid this.
As for the memory i made a mistake meant to get 2GB ram for a Desktop Computer. I will look into the Nvidia 7600GT(PRICE)
So do you recommend i should get maybe 600W or 650W PSU? ALso does FS9 work well with windows Vista?

600W should suffy, but if you can afford it, why not 650.... 2GB I would consider minimum, but then again, others may see it different. For what I know FS9 shouldn't have any issues with Vista (if you can through the restrictions and access rights ;-))
Celeron is a NO-NO in general, only suites for an OS and a mail-client.....it doesn't have any powers, and is just a cheap product, that isn't suitable for normal use... ;-) I'm actually amazed it could run FS9 in the first place..!

dont be surprised..ny celeron would run fs9 btwn 5 and 10 FPS on non detail airports..this maybe because i had an ATI9250 graphics card "pretty old".
Guess i will be opting for windows vista.
thanks for the advise

Always thought new versions are the best! Any will take your advise into consideration and the other reason is i am not going to buy FSX yet because of all the reports i am hearing about bad FPS. Therefore XP will be the most favoured. Other reason XP is cheaper too Thanks for your opinion.
