Thanks for this new plane! The panel/systems modeling is very first rate, as are the exterior models.
I did have one question regarding the flight model. The plane seems to require a very nose high attitude on approach and was very sensitive in pitch. I enjoy tweaking FDE's so was going to play around with it. Most of it can be done in the aircraft.cfg file, but some tweaking needs to occasionally be done in the air file. When I opened up the air file it only contained 4 text lines and nothing else. Is this correct? Where's all the data normally contained there? I looked at Jon's BAE146's from avsim and they seemed to have 'normal' air files.
I'll be happy to share any tweaks that I come up with.
Mike

Mike although I do not know about this air file I do know that a lot of FS9 aircraft have all the FDE contained in the cfg file. Any improvements are gratefully received as we always look to improve things. I do know that the 146 has a "nose down attitude" on approach. Look forward to seeing what you come up with Mike

Yes, the 146 wing should have a high peak lift coefficient, but quite a small stalling angle (as it lacks leading-edge devices).

Good question, to be honest I have done nothing with the airfile for this model, try using the one from my earlier 300 model and see how that goes. Be interested in what you 'tweak' and discover.

Hi Mike,
Same from here: A good FDE designer is always welcome.
About the airfile. The airfile is edited with AAM (Aircraft Airfile Manager). I've used this tool to correct N1 and thrust just in lower altitudes. Unfortunately when you edit the airfile once with AAM you always need it for this file. Nevertheless the AAM airfile editor is freeware. Unfortunately I don't know where I download it but I'm sure you will find an address when using a normal search engine like google for example.
Best Regards Matthias

I've put in the air file from Jon's 146 I found on avsim and can edit it using aired, so I'm working on that now. I'm making some adjustment to the primary aerodynamics table to get the nose down both in cruise and approach.
Also changing some cfg parameters. Will be a few days at least as it takes a bit of time to flight test the changes.
