I don't know if it's just me, but are there plans to make for an easier engine start. Running the checklist is great but most of the time I just want to Fly!!

Hello, If you read the documentation (very good doc BTW ) furnished with the panel you will find a "autostart button" It's a PDF file with plenty screens .... NOTA: When all is started (it's take a little time despite the autostart) you have the option to save this flight ..so next time ..you will load it and you will be seated on the runway (or any place you was) with all running and ready for the flight... Regards.

Always a good idea to RTFM, before asking. Although it might seem as a short-cut you tend to overlook essentials....

Once I've mastered the new panel myself, I may set up a "Service Thread" (like I've done with both B707 & DC8 panel installations) which contains a basic engine startup procedure .... and other details as I come to learn the new aircraft. This could be a while away yet though folks .... got a lot on my plate right now HJG-wise.

Is this the same 146 panel that I downloaded a while back as a stand-alone? (Which kills your engines on loading - I HATE panels which do this!)

"NO" .... it's an impeoved version of it ! Personally I prefer panels which start without the engines already running .... in fact with our current B707/720, CV880/990, & DC8 panels, I purposely load the default CESSNA (or other default aircraft) first .... shutdown the engines .... and begin each of my B707/720, CV880/990, & DC8 sessions with full engine startup procedures. I've not noticed anything untoward with this new aircraft/panel combination .... but .... I have observed when you load this panel into any FS session it does seem to take a while longer to load up .... even on a very fast system. In fact one might even think FS has "HUNG". Just give it all the time it needs to load up and everything should be "SWEET AS". Upon exiting this panel/aircraft combination too I've similarly noted it it takes a while longer than normal to return to the FS Aircraft Selection Menu or Exit page .... also conveying an impression that FS might have "HUNG" .... but again .... just give it whatever time it needs. It is a very complex panel .... but also .... "A VERY GOOD ONE" too I'm not having any problems with it at all Mark C

All of my flights start cold and dark. My default flight is set up that way. If there are add-on aircraft that have problems with that, then so be it. I don't need to fly them when there are plenty of others that work just fine the way I prefer to do things.

For those of you that answered with the RTFM remarks, please keep in mind that not everyone on the planet has all the time in the world to sit through and read 163 pages of material right away. Some of us have lives AWAY from the computer, i.e. children, church, work, spouses, etc. When I do get a chance to play on the computer, i appreciate a good quick start sometimes to fly and enjoy the scenery, which is what I enjoy most about flight sim. As for the rest of you with the NON-RTFM remarks...Thanks for the help. The autostart button works just great.

Please bear in mind that those who actually wrote the manuals has exactly the same life outside the FS-world as well. But they wrote the manual for free and to help out all others that didn't had the ability to make their own aircraft, in order to make the most out of their models.
I'm sorry to say that I stand fully behind any RTFM remarks. Sometimes it is very saddening to see that all the work one has laid into a freeware model, including a well-thought description is totally set aside.

Hello, 100% agree with DanKH. BTW ..for sightseens ...the Cessna 172 or any small and slow taildragger will be a better choice instead the Bae 146... I have a lot of fun with them for touring over nice landscapes. When I fly a 707 or a Bae 146 all my attention is on the instrument panel Regards.
