Did the BAe 146's?ARLJ's have their own portable airstairs ?
I'm pretty sure ours (ANSETT NEW ZEALAND -200/300's & QANTAS NEW ZEALAND -300') didn't .... but then again .... that's just ours.

I don't know if the the Air Canada 146's had them or not. It is just neat to have them in FS9 at small airports.

I wouldn't like to see any detail applied to these models which wasn't an actual feature of these actual realworld aircraft. In other words .... if the realworld aircraft did not feature their own portable airstairs then let's not put them in the model. However .... if you're talking about "seperate airport boarding stairs" then that's different .... but .... are they really that important that it's worth sustaining a potential frame rate hit just be be included. I'm not saying they definitely will affect frame rates. All I'm suggesting is that they "MIGHT" ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Let me begin by stating I really like the 146 already and I'm sure that the updates coupled with all the whishes here will provide an even more comprehensive visual model.
What I would like to see for the future models is a functioning ATC airline code in the 'add to aircraft' textfiles. I realize that FS9 does not include an ATC recording for every airline, but for those that are present a code that works would save me (and I'm sure a few others) some time editing these.
For the liveries already supplied, allow me to make these little comments: The Flagship entry in the NWA livery, that is filled out, but does not work. I changed it to NORTHWEST Another improvement would be to add KLM to the KLM UK livery (as an Air UK recording is not present in FS9). The SHAMROCK entry for the Aer Lingus was correct. The SPEEDBIRD entry for BA, is missing a space and should be SPEED BIRD for it to function. All other liveries do not simulate an airline that has a recording in FS9.
You programmers surely know what I'm talking about, but for the people reading this who have got no clue I'll explain. The line: "ATC_airline=..." of each [flightsim.xx] entry in the aircraft.cfg file should be followed by a correct code (wich is familiar to FS9) of the airline displayed by that livery, for the simulated ATC to call you with both airline and flightno. For this to work the entry should only be in CAPITALS and is sensitive to spaces (expl.: AIR FRANCE, EGYPTAIR, etc.).
I realize many simmers do not use ATC or AI traffic, but I'm sure there are a few, like me, that do.
Regards,
Nils

If you download Enviropack which gives the full ATC codes you will see that the Air UK will work, I know this as I use it! FS9 is rubbish in the small list of ATC codes hence the need for Enviropack which is free

Mark C AKL/NZ Integral airstairs were an option available. Not everyone took them. About 75% of Air Wisconsin's fleet had them and 50% of those had the aft airstairs as well. I believe one or two of the -300's that Air Wisconsin flew were equipped with aft airstairs, but I think most of those equipped were the -200s. The rest had only forward airstairs. The only ones that didn't have airstairs were ones purchased from other operators.

Would it be possible to model the speedbrakes so that another press of "/" or perhaps "shift+/" will make them fold back again?
I realise it's an axis, so it might be a problem, but I think it can be done (as I recall the PSS A-320 had a more or less similar system for the Spoilers).

Something that I've noticed is the absence of the wing root taxi / runway turnoff lights.
Any way to add those in?

Flybe in the UK has integrated airstairs on its 300, but they are now fazing them out in favour of Embraer 195s.
Fly on them regularly to Guernsey.
