i was wonder if you can use HJG aircraft in FSX, or is there going to be a plan for HJG to start making aircraft for FSX. Thanks

Currently only the Boeing aircraft are completely FSX-compatible. The Douglas and Convair panels are completely incompatible with FSX, while the aircraft themselves need modification to the aircraft.cfg files as mentioned here.

I must also haten to add that whilst we have attempted to provide FSX compatibility (only with our B707 family at this stage .... as already stated by George), we do remain an FS2004 dedicated website.

The best answer to a "what if...", "can it be done...." or "what will happenif ...." question is, and has always been: "Try"

I only use FS-X and I haven't had any HJG aircraft issues. But then again, I don't fly them near as much as I should!!

I have recently downloaded you 707 -320 base pack and Qantas textures. I have installed it into airplanes as per instructions but it does not appear in FSX on start up. I have looked at the cnf file but cant work out what could be wrong.

I suggest making sure there are panel and sound files associated with each aircraft. That's the #1 problem amongst new flightsimmers who download airplanes.

"GREDES" .... I suspect the problem could be more basic than this .... and possibly along the lines of issues commonly overlooked/repeated with FS9 installations. Assuming you have indeed got our B707-320C Aircraft Base Pack installed within your FS9 "AIRCRAFT" folder .... and assuming you have indeed correctly copied the "ADD TO AIRCRAFT" data (provided with each texture download) to the AIRCRAFT.CFG file contained within the Aircraft Base Pack .... then I'd say all you need to check are each of the following points .... 1. Check that the very first line on your AIRCRAFT.CFG (which by default will read [fltsim.xx]) actually reads as follows .... [fltsim.0] If you desire adding more than texture to your B707-320C AIRCRAFT.CFG file .... then these entries "MUST" appear in correct numerical sequence as follows .... [fltsim.0] [fltsim.2] [fltsim.3] etc Failure to do this will ensure with absolute certaintly that nothing displays within the FS aircraft menu when you go to select it . 2. Make sure the TEXTURE= line/s of your AIRCRAFT.CFG file data read precisely according to the actual names of the texture files you´re installing. By default .... and if you´re correctly copying and pasting "ADD TO AIRCRAFT" data from each texture download to the CFG file .... then no such error should occurr .... but .... we're all human ! 3. Check that you haven't inadvertantly got a texture folder contained within another temporary containing folder from the downloaded ZIP file .... it can happen ! 4. This next point is an unlikely error .... but .... it needs to be considered/checked anyway. In your particular case make sure the textures you're downloading and installing to your B707 Aircraft Base Pack are indeed textures for this particular aircraft type and not another B707/720 type .... or they simply won't work. 5. If you're using our aircraft within FSX and confident all the above have been correctly attended to .... then the only remaining issue (I think) is to ensure that you've dumped the default FS9 AIRCRAFT.CFG file .... and activated the provided FSX CFG version (suffixed/named "FSX") and renamed it "AIRCRAFT" .... in place of the default FS9 version. FINALLY .... I note you say you're installing QANTAS textures. I also note you say you've installed these textures to the "B707-320" Aircraft Base Pack. PLEASE NOTE: .... most of our QANTAS textures are for the B707-320C .... which must only be applied to the "B707-320C" Aircraft Base Pack .... located on the "B707-320C" downloads page. The only exceptions to these are 2 only QANTAS 1959 texture which must only be applied to the "B707-138" Aircraft Base pack .... located and clearly labelled on the "B707-120" downloads page. And also the QANTAS 1961 and QANTAS/QFM 2006 textures which must only be applied to the "B707-138B" Aircraft Base Pack .... located and clearly labelled on the "B707-120B" downloads page. Hope that helps you out ! Mark C BOG/CO

In FSX you should place the files in the SimObjects\Airplanes folder instead of Aircraft (FS9)
The reson it doesn't show is very likely the fact that you haven't installed the panel correct. Be aware that the FSFSCONV-folder should reside at the same folder-level as the aircraft, then the aliasing should work (provided that you actually USE the alias in the panel.cfg file???
it should say: alias=fsfsconv\panel.b707-120b.1965 (this is just an example using the panel for VH-XBA)
To have a thumbnail to select you shoul either use autothumbnail (available from AVSIM) or make your own picture (jpg) in the correct size (compare to the default aircraft texture folders
