Alternatively .... in the absence of an FSFSCONV folder you can also just install the panel folders directly inside you aircraft folders too .... of course ! Installation in the FSFSCONV folder .... or the actual aircraft folder .... both are fine .... it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other really ! The only reason our instructions emphasize installing panels inside the FSFSCONV folder is because it's a phillosophy we (HJG) inherited .... and because there's belief among some FS specialists that it's best to try'n keep aircraft folders as "clean" as possible. I'm preparing a tutorial strictly for FSX that I will reveal in due time, which should make it even easier for FSX'ers to install the HJG aircraft. due to some extended possibilities in FSX.

LOLOL. Ya know what? I was just thinking about doing that and was wondering if it would work. From the tutorial: I think you'll find it all there if you care to read it

The reason to have it in a separate folder is that multiple models are then able to use a common panel, and they can all alias to the same panel instead of having multiple installs and thus risking errors when updating..... It is always good measures to not have multiple installs of anything wherever possible...

I just haven't messed with it for a couple of days because I got busy with other things ... like getting my FSX running again. LOL. I learned a good lesson ... NEVER, ever, ever, ever run the "repair" utility on FSX ... NEVER! It crashes the game (or at least mine anyway) every time. This is the 3rd time it has happened to me. Some of us are slow learners I guess, lolol. Sooo, I have been busy straightening-out my FSX however, I am almost ready to start installing these aircraft again. Then, I will read the tutorial. Thanks for all the help guys ... it is appreciated!

The FSX repair option only works on a vanilla install. NO add-ons, NO service packs, NOTHING. Intelligent coding at its best.

I don't think it would be very easy to make a repair utility that also took care of the amount of various 3. party installs, many not even known to the general public....
