OK, that would be the gauge names (just with out the GAU-extension....) I'm sorry to say that it "looks" like you accidentally selected a whole lot of files and wasted them while you were trying to remove the few old Convair files..... To reinstall all those would take a good piece of detective work and about the same patience as to watch paint dry..... If you by any chance have a recent restore point then that might be your way ahead ..... Alternatively you may be so lucky that some friendly soul here at the forum would zip up his gauge folder and send it to you... (I can't as I'm using FSX solely) hopefully that would restore a lot of them, but apparently you must reinstall all your own 3. party aircraft in order to regain the actual gauges needed for YOUR install...... Bit of a dodgy work anyhow, and I wish you luck unless of course you bite the dust and do a complete reinstall of FS9 (!)..... but I would go for the alternative if you want to take on the task.... Kind of reminds you the hard way of the good in backups......

That would be a possiblity IF all those gauges were together, but it would appear as though they're scattered throughout the Gauges Folder. So it's highly unlikely I selected just those files and deleted them.

(unless of course you had them sorted someway that they appeared in that order (date for example instead of name....or vice verse...)
OK, I guess you now best what you deleted or not.
Fact is that they are gone now, no matter how they got deleted. and the only way to get them back is the way I described above....

OK.....here's the latest on my dilemna:
I had an old Gauge Folder from a couple of years ago form a re-install that had some of the "missing" gauges in it. After copying them over to the current FS9 Gauges Folder and running the Explorer again, I come up with just 16 missing gauges. These gauges were NOT in my old folder. Apparently, these are from a/c that have been installed since.
So, still can't imagine what happened, but it looks like I'll have to try and get those aircraft and d/l and install them again. Unless someone has some gauges they wanna upload.
Looks like the 'critical' ones are:
concorde.gau 757-200.gau
Thr rest I can probably do without.

Hello, This link will help you (at least ...for the installation of the default aircrafts gauges) www.cat-tamer.com/flightsim/faq001.htmlIt's a very detailed listing of all the files and their location on the CD's of F2004 It's also some other interesting tips there So you will be able to restore in a minute all the missing default planes gauges. I suggest you reinstall the whole pack of the default gauges. You need the FS2004 CD's ... of course Good luck! Regards.

Thanks for that link Gus, but I have the default gauges. It's the gauges from some add-ons that disappeared.

Well, that 1st link was for a Dornier, not an MD8x and the 2nd link made no sense at all.
The 1st link did not include any gauges.
I don't know what happened with my installation of the 'new' Convair (880M for me), but I lost a bunch of gauges totally unrelated to one another and not grouped together.
Anyway, for now, I can get by with just finding the:
757-200.gau
Thanks for your effort.

Like I said, the 1st link was good. It did have an airplane, but NO gauges. All I need is the one gauge: 757-200.gau I could not find any referrence to a gauge on that other link.
