Hi,
I recently installed the CV990a with the Air France textures and after following your instructions I started up FS and selected the aircraft. It displayed in the select aircraft menu but when I clicked OK FS crashed to desktop with no error message. I restarted FS and tried again, again the same thing happened. I tried selecting the CV880, which I knew previous to installing the CV990 was working with no problems what-so-ever. I clicked OK and again CTD. All other aircraft whether they be HJG aircraft or from other designers all work with no problems, just these 2. And as I said, the CV880 worked before installing the CV990. I've tried re-installing but to no avail. I know my way around an OS and file structure, but can't seem to fathom the problem. Any help greatly appreciated as the aircraft are brilliant.
I am running Windows XP SP2 with a P4 3.2GHz and FS9 with the MS service pack with 1GB Ram and a Radeon 9950 graphics card with 256Mb.

What happens when you remove the 990 and try just the 880?

I've just tried it removing the CV990 and still the same problem, and as I said this is only now occuring after I installed the CV990. before installing this aircraft the CV880 worked fine, now, even after uninstalling the CV990 it still CTD

But.....all other a/c are alright, is that right?
And if YES...then try removing the 880 and starting over. Somehow it sounds like one of your 990 files might've gotten installed improperly. Probably a panel or panel.cfg. ??
One of the "experts" will no doubt chime in here soon.

Try backing up your fs9.cfg, and let FS built you a new one... (if you have entered any manual tweaks you'll have to add them again...

Thank you, Dan, for the advice. Everything is now working sweetly and I now have a VERY nice addition to my FS hangar ;D

Presumingly a sick or mal-configured fs-config file....

On the basis of Dan's advice .... and obvvious success witnessed by those whom have employed that advice.
A few days ago I added a new section to each of our aircraft "PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" .... regarding backing-up the original FS9/FSX.CFG .... then allowing FS to build a new one .... as a means of eliminating repetitious CTD's for those few whom have been experiencing this irritating problem.
