Great! Now do exactly the same thing with Anni 2 (thumbnail and everything....) Take a copy and paste after you've done, of the two [fltsim.?] sections in the aircraft.cfg and post it here, just for the fun of it. I'll have a small cigarette meanwhile. After all from now it is "just" installing new liveries for the same aircraft, and the procedure is the same every time ... Try it out to see if you are self-running here

You'll end up with two fltsim sections when you've done:
[fltsim.0] ... ... ...
[fltsim.?] ... ... ...
copy those two sections and post them here for me to inspect, that's all.

VERY GOOD!
the spacing between the sections is good for readability, but it doesn't really matter.
Now if all goes well, you should be able to fire up FSX, and you'll find your new HJG E3-C aircraft including two liveries.
You should also be able to filter your selection to show only "Historic Jetliners Group" aircraft
If you select one of these you will be prompted with a warning because FSX will try to load in the belonging gauge files (named xxx.gau)
This is because they haven't been "signed as trustworthy" just accept them you will only be prompted once if you do it's by default in FSX.
start up in you favorite airport either on the current runway or at some parking of your choice, and see if the aircraft actually shows up, and if all the gauges do show.
From here on it's just go on flying and get yourself acquainted with the aircraft.
Please come back to tell if you succeed ...

OK, it's 01:05 AM here so I'm a bit tired now.... I'll watch this for a while now, but if I'm one when you come back, it's because I'm fast at sleep ;-)
Good luck.

We'll take that tomorrow .... I'm pretty burnt out now, so not really in the mood for finding bugs right now. It show absolutely fine here, as I've been doing the same process on my own setup.
Let's see tomorrow OK?
But probably the aliases are wrong ... try to dig into them and compare the aliases with the actual folder names etc etc. remember underscores, spaces etc. etc.

A few points of interest:
your entry in the FSX.cfg file and the aliases
the entries in FSX.cfg should look somewhat like this:
[Main] User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\HJG
The full paths to your aircraft and textures should be: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6\texture.nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6\texture.nato_2007_e3c_lx-n90443
The full paths to your sound and panel folders should be:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\HJG\HJG Sounds\aeromusica_c-135_j57_no_rev
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\HJG\HJG Panels\panel.b707-320badvc.1970
Please triple check that your actual paths are EXACTLY like this (beware of underscores, spaces etc. etc.) and are in correspondence with the aliases you edited in the panel.cfg and the sound.cfg
Good hunting and
See you later...

Hi dan its the next day and im back...and good news...I GOT THE PLANE TO SHOW .....and its paintjob shows and everything....unfortunately my computer is a piece of crap so it only shows the textures on the planes when its dawn and night outside, or if im looking from a tower view...but everything basically worked....the only problem was the panel....the earlier problem was that i used the wrong panel .....so i switched it out for the right one....so the plane now shows but inside the 2D cokpit none of the gauges move or work along with the buttons and when I press Shift+4 (default for whatever) my game screen turns black and I get an erreor report....so this is where i stand now with the plane....maybe the panel wont work because my computer is bad?....I am getting a new Dell XPS 630 desktop in a week or two so now that you showed me how to do this I should have no problem doing it again thanks!
