two posts up:
Now modify the panel.cfg and the sound.cfg within your aircraft folders:
..\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6\panel\ ..\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6\sound\

By "folder" I suspect you mean "file"
Tell me once again... what is the actual name of the Base-pack you downloaded yesterday?
And did you actually do the deletion/renaming yesterday too?

HJG Boeing E3-C v6...and yeah i think we did all the deleting and renaming but i dont think i did the panel and sound stuff since i dont see any .cfg after them indicated that i renamed them...like i said the last thing i did was go into windows explorer and uncheck that thing and apply it...

OK, just checked the zip file.... sorry you're absolutely right.... there is only an aircraft.cfg and an aircraft_fsx.cfg ...
The panel_fsx.cfg resides in the panel package and hence in the HJG_panels\panel.....\ folder.
Sorry for the confusing!

When you have taken care of the deletion and renaming of the panel_fsx.cfg file will turn on to the actual editing of the necessary files....
if you haven't downloaded the CORE package, now is a good time to do it. I mentioned the location a few posts back...
If you smoke; now is the time to get some "fresh" air.
I will ... back in 10...

let's step into your ...\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6\panel\ folder and open up the panel.cfg you have there in Notepad (make sure it isn't Read-only)

it's already named sound.cfg (if you have made the corrections in the windows explorer you should be able to see all the file-extensions now?)
