Now for some effects....
get the two effects packages for the boeing aircraft ... (follow the link at the Effect title on the download page ...
Both zip's contains an effect folder that hold some files with a fx-extension...
drag the contents of these two into your main effect folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects
there will be 5 or 6 files all in all with a fx-extension those are the actual effect files needed.
This is a one-timer as the effects files almost never changes!

OK time for summing up while you select a good looking livery you want to fly in. Maybe two for the fun of it....
You have now: Installed the Boeing base package for the E3-C Prepared various files for FSX use installed the Boeing Core files (needed for all Boeing aircraft) installed AND aliased the correct panel installed AND aliased the correct sound installed the Boeing Effects (all of them actually as this was easiest)
Now you're ready for installing liveries and modifying the aircraft.cfg accordingly.
Please choose at least two liveries and tell me which ones you have selected.

Inside the zip-file you'll see a folder structure like this:
..\nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442\texture.nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442
drag the texture. folder in under your aircraft folder so you have this structure:
...\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6\texture.nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442

OK. now right-click on the download page the according thumbnail and choose "Save picture as..." and when prompted where to save it navigate to your newly added texture.folder ... it will have the name: "nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442_th.jpg" overwrite this name in the save-box with "thumbnail.jpg" and save the file.
Now you should have a file called thumbnail.jpg in your newly created texture folder. (this is for use in your aircraft selection menu within FSX)

Not click it, RIGHT-click it and save it (the thumbnail picture, that is)
You can either rename it during the save process or you can rename it after you've downloaded it ... your call. Same result.
It should be placed in your newly created texture folder at the end though and called thumbnail.jpg that's the essence of this exercise

ok i think i did it right...will it show up in the texture folder? and by "newly created texture folder" you mean the texture i downloaded right?

Yes to both. In the texture folder (provided you've saved it there) and yes the texture folder you just downloaded and dragged into place.
Remember the name of the file shall be thumbnail.jpg (it's approx 6 kb in size, so it's pretty small)
this will be the complete path to the file:
...\HJG\HJG Boeing E3-C v6\texture.nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442\thumbnail.jpg
