Back to the zip file containing the textures of Anni 1.
you will find a file called "Add to aircraft.txt" try to double-click on it and see if you can open it with Notepad for instance.

Now open your aircraft.cfg in Notepad too, and you'll have to instances of notepad running.
One with the aircraft.cfg in it, and one with the "Add to aircraft.txt" in it
and at the very top of the aircraft.cfg you will see 3 lines commented out by starting with //
Right under these 3 lines is where you shall copy the contents of "add to aircraft.txt" in:
This part:
[fltsim.0] title=Boeing/NATO E-3c-Sentry 50 Years sim=e-3c model=NATO panel= sound= texture=nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442 kb_checklists= visual damage=1 description=Boeing/NATO E3C Sentry LX-n 90442 50 Years. Textures By Ben Hartmann ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type=E-3C Sentry ui_variation=NATO LX-N 90442 50th Anniversary atc_id= atc_heavy=1 atc_airline=NATO atc_flight_number=442 atc_parking_codes= atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMP

Note that a kind soul has already written an "0" in the [fltsim.0] part.
Please note that this section is what is needed for a specific livery to show up.
The texture= part should correspond to your physical texture folder name (and indeed it does here)
The sim= refers to the name of the .air file and the model= to which model-folder to use

Copy and paste these two lines in under the ui_variation= line:
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" ui_createdby="Historic Jetliners Group"

This is how the first bunch of lines should look in your aircraft.cfg file now (never mind the colored text, that's just for claifying here):
// Add your [fltsim.xx] sections here. // Remember to start with 0 (zero). // Copyright Historic Jetliners Group. No uploading of HJG materials to any website without prior approval. [fltsim.0] //one section for each livery always stepping one number up: 0, 1, 2, 3, etc. etc. title=Boeing/NATO E-3c-Sentry 50 Years sim=e-3c //referring to the .air file model=NATO //referring to which model folder to use if there are more than one, else blank panel= sound= texture=nato_2000_e3c_lx-n90442 //The texture folder name kb_checklists= visual damage=1 description=Boeing/NATO E3C Sentry LX-n 90442 50 Years. Textures By Ben Hartmann ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type=E-3C Sentry ui_variation=NATO LX-N 90442 50th Anniversary ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner" //for the aircraft selection filter ui_createdby="Historic Jetliners Group" //for the aircraft selection filter atc_id= atc_heavy=1 atc_airline=NATO atc_flight_number=442 atc_parking_codes= atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMP
