Just for clarification, the lift dumpers (or spoilers) on the Avro are nonoperational for the time being, correct?
Thanks

My understanding is .... opening the rear fuselage speed brakes also results in the wing spoilers being activated too .... and vice versa.
That's how the BAe 146-300/RJ-100 came to us animation-wise.

I will have to check but I thought arming the dumpers brought the tail brake into action then activating the dumpers on landing brought the wing dumpers into action??? could be wrong..will check

Can confirm..just didi a flight, arming the lift dumpers brings in the tail spoiler, in flight then once on the ground activating spoilers brings in wing dumpers as well

Could the model be redesigned so that wing spoilers are activated using the "folding-wings" switch, separately from the spoiler switch (which would trigger the tail brake)?

I do not see the problem at all, arm the spoilers and the rear clam doors open, activate the spoilers and the wing spoilers come into play?? no need for another key function as it already does what it is supposed to... Or am I missing something here

I've got to admit .... I've not yet fiddled with our BAe/ARJ aircraft and panel much .... at least not as much as I'd like to bearing in mind all else I try to accomplish here. I've got a lot to learn about this virtual bird and it's many systems/functions Mark C AKL/NZ

I forget how project fokker did theirs, I do think the wingfold command controlled the lift dumpers.

YEAH .... I think they did.
I know they did successfully implement it.

Could the model be redesigned so that wing spoilers are activated using the "folding-wings" switch, separately from the spoiler switch (which would trigger the tail brake)? Animating the wing mounted lift dumpers can easily be assigned to the wingfold or tailhook or most any other key controlable animation command. Also, if using FSDSv3 or gMax, they could be animated as spoilers with an XML coding to activate only if the spoilers are deployed and the aircraft is on the ground. In fact, I have used XML coding to allow wing mounted spoilers to have different extension angles in the air and on the ground and to animate ground only spoilers.

Hi All, Could the model be redesigned so that wing spoilers are activated using the "folding-wings" switch, separately from the spoiler switch (which would trigger the tail brake)? That's surely possible but it in the real aircraft there is also just one lever for both so it makes no sense. The spoilers (rear spoilers) must be set before the lift spoilers could be set. Jon did this very close because from 0% to 80% spoiler lever you handle the rear spoiler and from 80% to 100% you handle the lift spoiler. Both with one lever like in the BAe 146. But take care. Using the key for the spoiler of for arming the spoiler is no good idea because the MSFS key function just knows 0% and 100% and nothing in between. If you don't have a hardware spoiler lever I recommend to use the mouse for the spoiler settings and not the keyboard. Otherwise you run into the written problem. Best Regards Matthias

Hi Matthias Good to hear you on the forum again I agree regarding the % figures regarding setting the lift spoilers, I find that this works fine on the 146 we have
