Like it? I love it. I can see the -100 will be, essentially, a completely 'new' package. I'm thrilled, guys. Thanks a million.

OK .... it's important to realize that whilst we have Eric's authorization to host the model/s we don't have rights to and can't modify any of his 3D models. "IF" a wingleted wonder model is ever to become available in the future then that must be by Eric's own decision .... then "painters choice". Appreciate you interest and support though .... of course ! Mark C AKL/NZ

A couple of questions:
1. Will this panel (and all the neat functions) be calibrated for the 727-100 model (as opposed to the -200)?
2. Any plans to host the -200 as well?
(Just curious - I'm partial to 4-holers but this sure looks like a fine addition to the HJG family!)
Regards,
Jim

Not at the moment ! Mike MONCE & myself have, over past weeks, been fine tuning and extensively testing our own B727-100 FDE version (we may see more than 1 type here .... not yet fully decided) and using this panel. We can report performance numbers that are very close to B727-100 reality .... if not right on the money I believe we may have been authorized to host B727-200 as well, but for the moment, we're focused on just the baby -100. I can also tell you that we've worked up our own P&W JT8D soundpacks of which 2 version will likely be offered .... if only these can be completed in time for our public release of the B727-100. Otherwise these will have to follow "LATER" Mark C AKL/NZ

Yes we can use the 727-200 but that will come on line once we have the 727-100 up and running

Man is this good news, for some reason Erick seems to have lost interest in his flight sim creations so I am glad to see some one will be able to pick up where he has left off. I always have enjoyed his models. I wonder if he will let someone take over the L-1011, and put the finishing touches on that one also.
It would be great if he would also let you use the source files so someone might make (modify) the -100 to a -100F and we could have a true cargo version available.
Keep up the great work your surprises are great.

This is awesome news and a real display of how much other designers respect the work being done here.
I look forward to the day when it is taxiing out to the active!! ;D

Sentiments appreciated guys .... as always .... but .... all thanks for the B727 project are actually due first and foremost to Eric CANTU/Vistaliners for his kind co-operation in allowing us to host his models .... and secondly to Richard PROBST for kindly authorizing our hosting of his panel .... and last but by no means least of all to Tony MADGE also who's idea it was to bring the B727's to HJG.
Tony has a container full of never previously released liveries for the B727-100 which are sure to impress the hell out of everyone.
I also need to thank my AEROMUSICA colleague .... Benoit PLAMONDON .... for his much appreciated assistence with the 2 BETA B727 soundpacks we plan to offer.
I'll announce later regarding our proposed organizational details for the B727 on our website.

Been flying the "beta" -100 from them in Delta markings and using the Probst panel for several month now. Moved it over from the original -200 installation. As is (that is to say - unaltered), it seems to work pretty good. One of the best freeware panels I have seen out there. The frosting on the cake is the display of the performance specs as ref'd above.

Mark and the team have been working for many many hours on refining and putting the package together, like you I was happy with the 727-100 beta as it was but trust me if you want it to hit the "numbers" then I think you will be more than happy with the upgraded FDE etc.

We've got "CLOSE" to the numbers .... but .... to nail it completly would require a lot more work than we have time to spare testing things .... if we're to get the B727 project out this Christmas.
Right now the weights are about right. The fuel flow is good. And the thrust feels roughly what it should be for a B727-100 .... in being able to leave the ground comfortably from around 6,000 ft of RWY .... or slightly better .... and it can be slowed down comfortably after landing in less than 5,000 ft or so too.
This FDE .... like the 2 soundpacks accompanying it .... should be considered "BETA" material.
All the same I'm sure it will be enjoyed.

I will of course try both the model and the panel in FSX, but no promises ... at all!
