Just set up the DC-8-50 and have noticed a couple of issues. The first is, the RPM gauge is blank. The needles are there and they work but no numbers. The other is, when the parkbrake is engaged the "PB" lite does not come on. Have used other HJG DC-8s for a long time however this is the first problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest Core Files? What you describe sounds like what would happen if you used a very old Core Files set with a panel.cfg from a more recent download...

In fact do a complete install/reinstall of everything .... PANELS, GAGES/CORES FILES, and AIRCRAFT BASE PACKS (FDE only .... there's been no changes to any of the models) ....
PLEASE NOTE: There are no known issues regarding any of the details you have raised.
You should vbe seeing nothing less that what you see in each of the panel preview images .... and .... be observing nothing less than "ALMOST PERFECT" FS performance.
FYI .... this's the way you should have everything installed ....
.... all in accordance with the installation instrutions which acompany each individual panel and the gauges core files package downloads.
So long as these instructions are adhered to .... there's no logical reason why any problems should occur at all !

Did a reinstall of the gauges and that took care of the issue. Are there any docs for the DC-8 AP? Have looked around the site but did not find any. BTW, Thanks for making these aircraft available. I think I have more fun flying these than I do the high dollar addons.

Just a reminder .... for the benefit of "EVERYONE" not yet familiar ....
Our "ABOUT HJG AIRCRAFT" forum page contains the following separate posts entitled ....
- B707 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES
- B727 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES
- CONVAIR PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES
- DC8 PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES
These postings each contain more specific and additional information regarding the installation of these panels, AP and general aircraft handling notes, engine startup tutorials, and recommended new edits etc.
These notes are updated (there will be yet another update of these sometime over the next few days or so) as we feel the need to clarify details or otherwise alter our previously recommended procedures.
We do recommend that all users do make an effort refer to these notes.
