I am wondering why all of the 707 models I have seen created for FS have such high rear landing gear. They ride like a DC-8 with a higher rear fusilage. One thing I always liked about the 707 was it's low rider stance. The plane should be riding slightly lower in the rear, squatting slightly. Just my thoughts towards more realism in FS.

I think your observation is quite right as the accompanying pictures show. However, I would think that it would be a monumental task to re-design the HJG 707's in order to reflect this. This slight difference in the ground posture was also reflected in their approach attitudes, where the DC-8's had a bit of a nose down attitude and the 707's where quite flat or just a little nose up attitude on the approach. Herman is "QUITE RIGHT" .... in that this can't be addressed either quickly or easily, so, we're stuck with it .... I'm afraid !!!! I also tend to think it's more obvious during roll-out after landing .... from what I've observed of thuis tendancy I, for one, have been aware of this issue since our B707/720/C135 models were first released, but, have never bothered commenting accordingly .... simply because I (flying from the panel 99% of the time) considered it only a "minor discrepancy" really. Despite this now being publicly acknowledged there will be no changes to any of the B707/720/C135 models in the foreseeable future .... during the temporary absence of Gary CARLSON .... our B707 TYPE projects manager. Sorry ! Mark C AKL/NZ
