Dear Team,
I was wondering, I'm really a VC flyer and it's actually a shame that your 707 models don't have a VC ... Well Captainsim fullfils my need for the regular models but the KC-135 would be great with a VC. Will we see this one day or are these models fixed and will not progress anymore?

Perhaps you don't realise what's involved? 1,000 hours maybe to make a really good VC....all in someones spare time I think it is safe to assume that if a VC was ever going to be done it would be at the authors wish and not as a result of a request. Garry

Thx for the replies. But this actually is not a request. I know modelling a VC takes tons of time but just wanted to know whether or not it would be a fact one day. So, I think I need to search further then for a KC-135 with a good VC

"NO PROBLEM" .... but .... I think you'll be very hard pressed to find one ! Just for the benefit of "EVERYONE's" knowledge .... we/HJG certainly don't have plans to VC these aircraft .... for those reasons already stated recently by Garry ! Mark C BOG/CO

Capt Sim had a sale on where the 707 was available for £10 so I bought it to see what its like. It has a VC which is very good but on lower systems I have heard it sucks the frame rate down. Outside visually I found the nose too long and a bit pointed. Also they dont do many models and only one panel. Hence HJG despite not having VC's I feel offer a better product with a huge range covering just about all models of the 707 family at a price we can all afford...no brainer really

YYYYYYYYYYYEP .... that's just one of many advantages associated with having a modeller like Gary CARLSON .... who's basically grown up with the B707/C135 series, and, knows each of their defining characteristics .... like the back of his hand ! The same also applies in respect of Dee WALDRON too with his DC8 models .... and might also have applied in respect of the B727 too had Erick apparently not decided to remove himself from FS All "HIGHLY TALENTED GUYS" .... whom we're lucky to be associated with .... and .... whom the FS community (at least that segment of it that we represent) are lucky to have also. I never understand why people who want VC's because they spend all their time in the VC ask for VC's on these models If they spend their time in the VC then they don't need an external model These are external models and if any come with an internal model (VC) too then that is a bonus but it shouldn't be expected. A nice 2D panel gets it flying correctly without the tremendous hassle of building a VC....there would also for accuracys sake be more VC version than external versions and that could run into dozens of VC's. You can't have dozens of .......for example Boeing 707 models and just have one VC.i.......f you do then the exercise in accuracy of variations has been pointless Garry

"PRECISELY" .... the point I made in respect of an otherwise very fairly presented similar VC query the other day and over on the SIMVIATION FS2004 forum We currently host something like 30 odd "different/indivisual" B707/720 models alone .... supported by something in the vicinity of around 20 odd "different/indvidual" panels too for various classes of these aircraft and technology eras We certainly don't have the resources/expertise to go the VC way .... and even if we did .... and bearing in mind all the other aircraft types too which we host here too and which woiuld then similarly need to be converted to VC's in the interests of uniformity .... I then very much doubt we'd ever be able to complete such a complete and all-encompassing VC project within the limitations of my remaining life expectancy ;D Mark C BOG/CO
