Dear fellow simmers and HJG
I am very much "in love" with the 727's but i recently had to make a total reinstall of my PC due to a disk-crash. And as i lost everything i had to download all files again. Not a big problem - just annoying. But i miss my 727-panels with the gps as I can't get used to the INS. Is there a way to get my hands on the pre-INS 727 panel-files???
Happy landings and a nice evening to all of you.
Regards

When Richard PROBST authorized us/HJG to both host and modify his original B727 panel we took the GPS right out of these .... simply because by far the majority (there we some exceptions of course) of these aircraft, as mostly applies to the aircraft/livery eras we represent, were never so equipped. In the absence of GPS .... and for those panels which aren't INS equipped either .... then good old fashioned VOR to VOR NAV and realworld paper charts are "The Way To Go". We/HJG .... try to build/model for reasonable accuracy/authenticity first and foremost .... impaired only by the limits of both our own knowledge, skills, and also those limits which are imposed upon us by the very limitations of the MSFS host program itself. The original Richard PROBST panel is still available at FS.COM .... search "PROBST" .... or .... "RICHARD PROBST".However .... anyone choosing to go down this particular path must also be aware that (a) Richard's panel BMP's which make up the product hosted by HJG are "clearer/sharper" than those of the original product, and (b) this original panel will not work authentically with the new HJG exclusive FDE (it's mostly engine instruments observations I'm talking about here) .... in fact Richard's panel, as I understand it, was originally intended for a completely different B727 model .... and as such .... was programmend around an entirely different FDE version. In short .... the old/original product is not compatible with the VISTALINERS models and new HJG FDE offfered here."IF" .... you're competent with regard PANEL.CFG editing .... then you may be able to incorporate the defult FSFS GPS NAV system into the panels we offer .... however .... since this doesn't make up any aspect of those new panels where we offer here then HJG will not provide any support for such modifications. Hi Mark
Thanks for your answer. I fully understand and will use the upcoming christmas to try to master the INS. And let there be no doubt - I really appreciate the work that HJG do. It is really amazing things that you have come up with.
I wish you, the rest of the HJG-team and your family a merry christmas and a happy new year.

Kim,
If you don't mind editing cfg files you can download the original Probst panles and copy the relevant sections from it's panel.cfg to HJG's panel.cfg. But I warn you... sometimes things go wrong so... backup your data!
