I seem to be having a problem getting the -10F to show up in FS9, not sure why, I did find that the "UI_TYPE=DC-9-15F" was wrong should be '-10F' but I don't see any other reason for FS9 not to like it... Any suggestions? (Be nice)

It would help us to troubleshoot the problem by stating which repaints you are trying to install that are not showing up. A copy/paste of the [fltsim.xx] section would also help to decipher what is causing your problems.

There's only one texture available for the -10F, but here's the section. (I changed 'UI_TYPE=DC-9-10F' and 'DESCRIPTION=McDonnell Douglas DC-9-10F V 1.2 Paint by Tony' to -10F, but that didn't seem to help)
[fltsim.0] // Change "xx" to next number in sequence starting from 0 TITLE=DC-9-15F Finnair (1983) SIM=DC-9-10F MODEL=10 PANEL= SOUND= TEXTURE=finnair_dc9-15f_oh-lyh_1983 DESCRIPTION=McDonnell Douglas DC-9-10F V 1.2 Paint by Tony Madge KB_CHECKLISTS= ATC_ID=OH-LYH ATC_AIRLINE=FINNAIR ATC_FLIGHT_NUMBER=401 ATC_HEAVY=0 ATC_PARKING_CODES= ATC_PARKING_TYPES=CARGO,RAMP UI_MANUFACTURER=McDonnell Douglas UI_TYPE=DC-9-10F UI_VARIATION=Finnair (1983)

I believe the model should be 01 or 02 rather than 10. That would explain why it's not showing up.

Model 10 is the only 'model' in the Aircraft.cfg file, and should be correct for an 'F' model.

"NO" .... that Micro-9 version is a freighter .... and therefore uses "MODEL.10".Try editing you CFG data to read as bold-typed .... and as follows .... [fltsim.0] // Change "xx" to next number in sequence starting from 0 TITLE= DC-9-10F Finnair (1983) SIM=DC-9-10F MODEL=10 PANEL= SOUND= TEXTURE=finnair_dc9-15f_oh-lyh_1983 DESCRIPTION=McDonnell Douglas DC-9-10F V 1.2 Paint by Tony Madge KB_CHECKLISTS= ATC_ID=OH-LYH ATC_AIRLINE=FINNAIR ATC_FLIGHT_NUMBER=401 ATC_HEAVY=0 ATC_PARKING_CODES= ATC_PARKING_TYPES=CARGO,RAMP UI_MANUFACTURER=McDonnell Douglas UI_TYPE=DC-9-10F UI_VARIATION=Finnair (1983) The only difference being that the aircraft type name in the TITLE= CFG data line, according to my recommendations, now reads exactly in accordance with your current UI TYPE= aircraft name. Having different TITLE= and UI TYPE= aircraft names might be confusing FS in your case See if this recomerndation helps jump start things for you ! Your aircraft should then appear within the FS Aircraft Selection Menu under the following headings .... McDonnell Douglas/DC-9-10F/Finnair (1983)I note Tony obviously uses capital font in this CFG/ADD TO AIRCRAFT data .... but .... this shouldn't make any difference at all. FYI anyway .... here's a C&P of my own CFG for this particular aircraft and using my preferred/our most comonly used text/font .... [fltsim.0] // Change "xx" to next number in sequence starting from 0 title=DC-9-10F Finnair Cargo 1983 sim=DC-9-10F model=10 panel= sound= texture=finnair_dc9-15f_oh-lyh_1983 description=HJG McDonnell Douglas DC-9-10F v1.12 kb_checklists= atc_id=OH-LYH atc_airline=FINNAIR atc_flight_number=915 atc_heavy=0 atc_parking_codes=FIN atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMP ui_manufacturer=McDonnell Douglas ui_type=DC-9-10F ui_variation=Finnair Cargo (1983)My above CFG/ADD TO AIRCRAFT data also features a couple of non-standard edits to reflect my own personal preferences, but, is otherwise essentially the same as what you've got .... or as has been recommended by me above. ALSO .... make sure you're using this FINAIR CARGO DC9-10F texture with the "DC9-10F" specific aircraft base pack and FDE. It won't work if you apply it to the standard DC9-10 base pack and FDE .... and which might actually be your problem in this particular case ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Hey Mark, how ya doing... Anyway, I changed the 'Title', that didn't work, so I copied & pasted your C&P, but still nothing, it shows up in FS Repaint but not in FS9, I am using the 9-10F base pack.
Can anybody else download the DC-9-10F from your site and make it work?
BTW, I also have a problem with the texture (1983 - PH-DNA - DC-9-15) for the DC-9-10, the model shows up but no texture. This is a separate issue from the one above.

I'll have a look at the DC9-10F base back later this evening .... and report back .... BUT .... so far as I'm aware there's no problem with it. OOH .... the following thought just crossed my mind too .... Are you using FS2004 .... or .... FSX ?All of these DC9 aircraft base pack files contain separate AIRCRAFT.CFG files for both FS2004 and FSX. The FS2004 CFG is always prioritized by default .... HOWEVER .... if you're using FSX then you should "dump" the default AIRCRAFT.CFG .... then rename the file "FSX_AIRCRAFT.CFG" to read AIRCRAFT.CFG in its place .... then add all yoru [FLTSIM.XX] data to that particular CFG. Whatever you're doing wrong there is likely to be a simple editing error .... I'm sure ! This .... again .... to me indicates .... a minor CFG editing error ! 1. Check that you're using that particular DC9-10 with the standard "DC9-10" aircraft base pack and FDE .... and not the DC9-10F version. 2. Check that the TEXTURE= line of your CFG agrees precisely with the suffix of the TEXTURE file name. Whenever a model appears in FS devoid of any textures then it's usually indicative of a error like that suggested in #2 above. Mark C AKL/NZ

OK folks .... I've now had a look at the DC9-10F aircraft base pack (unable to do so prior to this posting) .... and .... there is indeed a minor problem .... SORRY FOLKS ! The solution is "EASY" though and is as follows .... The AIR.FILE inside the DC9-10F aircraft base pack is currently named "DC-9-10.air". This is wrong .... because it should read as follows .... "DC-9-10F.air"Simply rename this AIR.FILE to read precisely as is bold typed above. Upon doing this you must also then ensure that the SIM= line in the ADD TO AIRCRAFT/CFG data reads precisely as follows .... sim=DC-9-10FDoing this should resolve this problem completely Editing the AIR.FILE in the DC9-10F base back .... "this way" ..... is also essential for each of the following new (yet to be released) DC9-10F subjects to display within FS .... or .... their CFG data won't agree the the AIR.FILE name as has been the case of this ocvcasion and which is why this aircraft would not display within FS. PLEASE NOTE .... the standard DC9-10 aircraft base pack/AIR.FILE is completely unaffected by this. I will get one of our team to look at, and correctly edit, the DC9-10F (only) aircraft base pack ASAP .... then report "HERE" once this's been done. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE FOLKS ! ;D Mark C AKL/NZ

COOL!! No worries Mark, just a brain teaser...
As for; I also have a problem with the texture (1983 - PH-DNA - DC-9-15) for the DC-9-10, the model shows up but no texture.
I've checked and rechecked, and re- D/L'ed (twice) this texture just doesn't want to come out. I D/L'ed four others with no problem, also, this tex does not show up in FS Repaint.

I found the problem "TEXTURE=klm_dc9-15-ph-dna-1983" should read "TEXTURE=klm_dc9-15-ph-dnc-1983"
Sorry about that
